Clean and comfortable, we will return

We stayed at the hostel for a couple of days for the eclipse and our stay was unbeatable. The room was very spacious and comfortable. The cleanliness was a 10, it is obvious as soon as you walk in. The girl at the front desk was very attentive to us and recommended a lot of routes for us to do. We were able to have breakfast at the cafeteria they had. We will definitely return with our children to visit all the routes we had left pending.

Very poor

4-day stay, they cleaned the room, took the shower mat, did not replace it, and did not change the towels or sheets during the 4 days, despite having told them to perform the service. There was a toothpick on the nightstand and it was still there 4 days later, as was the dirt on the floor. They installed a fan that cooled the room less than the open window; it was stifling. There is nowhere to even put a toiletry bag, the toilet paper holder was falling off, and there was no toilet brush, which they brought after 2 days. The manager would not answer the phone. She does not show up there unless there is a check-in, and for checkout, she just told us to leave the key in the box, totally distant with no interest in the guest being comfortable. We are not picky, we like simplicity, but this is something else... we pay for services they list for their hostel, and we are totally disappointed, since if we have to clean the toilet ourselves, the bathroom flooded after two showers, and since they removed the mat, we could have slipped; the water almost reached the middle of the bathroom. It was impossible to make contact; she does not pick up the phone, not even to tell her the arrival time... nothing. We ran into her by chance on the last day. Paying to basically have no cleaning and no change of towels and sheets... does not seem normal to me. The good reviews must be from people passing through for a day or 2, or friends themselves, because it is very poor and leaves a lot to be desired.

Good hostel in Villarcayo

It is a comfortable hostel, about 800 meters from the main square.
Comfortable room with underfloor heating, which is appreciated in winter.
With own parking
I do not know if you can eat breakfast in it, since when I was there, it was not open in its entirety.
To come back if I'm in the area
