The cottage is so cute and is in good location. Very short drive to downtown Bar Harbor. The room was clean and the bathroom was spacious. The staff was friendly and helpful. I had to park all the way to the back and had to back up all the way out as the parking was very tight. Breakfast was continental style with pre-packed muffins stuff. Coffee was not good. They have fresh fruits which I like.
This cottage charges for parking. Why some hotels and Inns start charging extra for parking? Do they expect people to walk there? Parking should be included in the room price.

spacious room with chairs, large bathroom. nice to sit on the porch. Good continental breakfast provided. Helpful and friendly staff. Convenient to grocery store and the park.

Good but a caveat

This is a really lovely hotel, but just a warning: we booked the four bedroom guest house, and while it was clean and very well furbished, I left some very expensive clothing there. It was completely my fault, but I didn’t get it back even though I called about it almost immediately after we checked out. Again, totally my fault since I left it behind, but I just want to alert people in case you too leave valuables behind.

Unique older property with different types of rooms. Our room was very spacious with king bed, living area, and small balcony. The living area included a fireplace with the opportunity to burn an actual fire!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at QAR. It is in a great location, just off one of the primary streets for shopping and dining. The ability to park our car easily was much appreciated. The staff was always helpful and friendly. We did have one day of our stay where our rooms weren't cleaned/refreshed, but when we reported it, the staff was apologetic and ensured that service was handled the next day. The continental breakfast and coffee were great, and we enjoyed comfortably sitting out on the front porch to dine in the bright sunshine. We would definitely stay here again and have already discussed doing so again next year.
