Sunday afternoon so we were able to check in early. Great in-house restaurant for dinner. Many shops were still open. Great stay.

It is the only option for staying in Berlin other than B&Bs, and it is really nice to be in the center of town. The hotel is quite small, and I think its restaurant dominates the activity.
It is an old hotel, and some things cannot be updated. Tiny rooms in particular. Our room was so small, maybe 100 sq ft, that there was no chair or place to sit, no closet or place to hang clothes. I went out in the hallway, which did have a lot of chairs, to put my shoes on. Only one person could stand in the bathroom at a time. Caveat emptor

A charming hotel with a lot of potential. The ambiance is nice. The rooms are poor: beds sag; poor lighting; virtually no mirrors; bathrooms are not updated (could do it to match ambience but be utilizable). Dusty bedside tables and sticky remotes. Musty HVAC. Good location.

Loved the stay in the rustic & quaint “Gardener’s Cottage”. The meal in the main bistro was exceptional. All in all, a great way to spend a Valentine’s Weekend!!

Sunflower Sista’s Pub Crawl of Berlin

We knew this was our third stop on our “pub crawl of Berlin”, so we prepared the night before by watching Runaway Bride and knew that it was filmed at this hotel, so we had to stop here on our crawl…
We walked up to the hotel and the drink specials were listed immediately on boards at the entryway, as was the menu… It was a hot humid day, so we decided to sit in the bar/lounge and have a drink… We all knew what we wanted before we even got inside (it was peach day: Peach Bourbon Smash, Peach Crush and a peach mocktail)… Our barmaid was so personable and full of interesting little facts, not to mention we found out we come from the same hometown… They had quite a variety of mocktails to choose from…. The drinks were tasty, plentiful and reasonably priced…. Highly recommend!!!
BTW: the hotel is exactly like the movie!!!
