Magical Maine Getaway

I cannot say enough of about this place. I've stayed in a few hostels, and also in the AMC Huts, so I was not expected anything luxurious. Was I surprised! This hostel is nicer than most motels and even nicer than some "fancy" hotels I've stayed in. Friendly staff, fantastic common spaces, kitchen/cooking areas, firepits, comfy beds, this place has it all. We were four women having a "girls' weekend" in northern Maine and this was the perfect home base. We did some hiking, mountain biking and general poking about in this gorgeous area of New England. Can't wait to return!

Wonderfuk stay. 2nd year for me and my go to lodging in the valley. Nice breakfast, great staff and nice fellow guests. Highly reccomend.

Everything about The Hostel of Maine impressed me. The location was perfect, free shuttles to local restaurants and ski resort. Great customer service! Beautiful place! I expected to go just once. I just left and I already want to go back. Definitely a 10 out of 10!

This place is a gem! Despite Expedia making things complicated to upgrade a reservation, the management helped make it happen. Beautiful building, clean, quiet, comfy. Highly recommend.

Amazing experience. The staff was welcoming, friendly and kind. I stayed in the bunk room which was homey and very clean.
