Ok place. Rooms a bit dated. Zero cups of any kind in room. Toilet seat loose. Light switch beside entry door inoperative.

Please stay far away!
Avoid this hotel at all cost! I have stayed at many hotels and have never once complained. I chose this hotel based on the reputable name of Howard Johnson. Our first room we noticed orange Cheeto dust on the white headboard. The wall next to the bed was clearly very dirty with crumbs on the floor as well as no secondary lock. It had been removed as the holes were left with no lock.
We were moved to another room. It appeared cleaner at first but learned after inspection that it had a dollar size stain on the comforter, a palm size dirt print of a dog paw, and stains on the sheets. We had a mtg so we couldn’t address it until after our mtg. We were given new sheets. By this time we were ready for bed when we used the bathroom for the first time. NO toilet paper at all and not complimentary hand soap.
When I addressed this to the manager “Con” as he spelled it with no name tag, he said I could leave if not happy. He was rude and I was left with having to find another hotel last minute. I was not given a number to call to address this nor was my email addressed. I have photos and would highly discourage others from choosing this hotel. Horrible customer service and very unclean rooms! Everyone deserves better!

Howard Johnson (Public health risk/unethical business practices)
I see others complaining about the same thing. Wish I would have read this before booking using AARP discount. I had no idea about the health issues there when I initially made the reservation but seeing it all over the news, I asked to cancel. They also told me so sorry but we will be keeping your money even though we didn’t tell you about health risks.
Feels like doing business with a bunch of criminals and corporate doesn’t seem to be paying attention. I recommend that if they wouldn’t work with you either, there are lawsuits already going on - think there’s a lawyer in Billings already working. I would also recommend calling the corporate help line and open a case against that hotel so they know how the business is being handled and the amount of customers they stand to lose.

Terrible experience
Booked a room through Expedia after a long day of driving, and what we walked into was completely uninhabitable.
The first room was an absolute health hazard. The shower had hair stuck all over the walls, the vanity was waterlogged and rotting apart, and the bathroom exhaust fan was hanging off the wall, caked in visible black mold and mildew. To make matters worse, turning on the AC unit filled the room with the stench of stagnant urine, circulating damp, foul air that pointed to a serious, unaddressed mold infestation throughout the HVAC system.
We went straight to the front desk, and they moved us to a second room that was even worse—the overpowering stench of mildew, dampness, and neglect hit us the second we opened the door. It was completely unfit for human stay.
When we returned to the front desk to refuse the room and request a refund due to the uninhabitable conditions, we were met with total rudeness and indifference. Returning the next morning to secure written proof that we did not stay was just as bad—I had to forcefully demand a receipt from an equally dismissive and hostile staff. Avoid this place at all costs; it is poorly maintained, actively hazardous, and nowhere near acceptable lodging.

Room was not cleaned properly before our check-in. We took out the previous people's trash. The fridge did not work, the shower head was leaking (spraying) all over the ceiling, couldn't change water temp; our son couldn't even shower because it was too hot. Oh, hope you like spiders too. Multiple crawling on one of the beds as my son and I were trying to sleep. Dust all behind the end tables and entertainment center. Will be looking at getting our rate refunded/discounted.
