Solid Option for Bisbee

This was a perfectly acceptable place to stay in Bisbee, but it is a motel, not a resort, so adjust your expectations. It seems to be a family-run place and the woman who checked us in was as friendly as can be. The rooms look a whole lot better on the inside than the outside. Though the building’s clearly been here awhile, the inside is clean and renovated. Our room had a refrigerator and small table. Wifi worked fine. Good water pressure in the shower. A big “plus” for this motel is that it has its own adjacent parking lot whereas parking seems to be a challenge along many narrow winding Bisbee streets. There’s also a quiet/secluded “garden” area out the back that’s available to guests. The only two downsides that I see are (1) no breakfast like many places offer these days and (2) no ice machine. However, there is a Circle K just a block away where you can pick up whatever you need. Also, there’s a market/café, a pizza place, and a Vietnamese noodle shop just a short walk down the hill (plus, we saw a “coming soon” sign for a new location of the Bisbee Breakfast Club near the pizza place).

Cool Bisbee Basecamp

The Jonquil Motel is an ideal Bisbee basecamp, located on Tombstone Canyon up above the hubbub of downtown, though a short walk to pretty much anywhere. We loved our stay in the motel's adjacent casita with its own carport and friendly neighbor dog poking his head through the fence to greet us. Nice amenities in the room: li'l fridge, microwave, electric tea pot, great water pressure in the shower, comfy beds and nice living room space with a TV. The motel also has a sizable yard out back, across the bridge, for motel guests to enjoy, with plenty of outdoor seating and event space.
We left the car parked and walked everywhere, including a nearby segment of the "Bisbee 1000" steps. Several great cafes within 1/4 mile.
Shout out to Eva, Sterling and Amy for the welcoming and cool atmosphere that really made our stay something special. Also: the amazing mural and Telepoem booth were great artistic enhancements and so very Bisbee.

A great surprise in Bisbee

The Jonquil hotel was a great treat. The rooms were clean and quiet, the bed comfortable. The folks we dealt with were friendly and accommodating. We really enjoyed speaking with Sterling (co-owner I believe) at the FirePit. We were touring by Motorcycle, and this is a great spot in Bisbee, not a long walk from the restaurants in center city.

Didn't know what to expect .... but wonderful surprise

Cozy accommodations in a 1936 property - the kind where you unlock the door and say "Oh, lovely!". The photo on the website doesn't do it justice so go ahead and book it. There is a bonus area behind across the creek (small bridge) that offers privacy from the main road and has lawn chair seating while the kids/pets run around. You could have a nice picnic of take-away and wine out there. Mattresses and linens are wonderful. The owners live on the premises (only 7 cabins) so the personal touch is everywhere and they encourage you to give them feedback on how they can improve their adorable property. I think they've thought of everything.
