The hotel was clean and quiet. They were under a boil water band when we arrived, and they were very generous and handed out plenty of water bottles for us.
The only thing that was a bummer is all the ice machine wore out of order and I couldn’t stock up ice for my cooler and have cold drinks that I had brought along with me for my stay.

Bates type Motel
This was the worst Hampton Inn we have stayed at. We are gold members. The outside has weeds growing through the cracked cement. There is no seating to sit outside. There is one dirty bench in the front across from the front door by the pole that holds the roof up. Went inside to check in, the staff is polite but not helpful. Rooms are so small, not much living space. From the end of the bed to the big bulky old furniture against the wall it was 3 1/2 ft, from the living area to the outside wall was 13 ft. We had our 2 grandchildren 16 & 13 and our 2 Dachshunds, told them how comfortable, clean and modern the rooms are. It was the opposite. First we could hardly move, we didn't have enough space to put our one suitcase each and once we had our luggage in the room it was worse. Wanted to wash some clothes they have coin operated, asked for change at the desk, no quarters. They told me to go to the gas station, they never have quarters. We paid over $200 a night for 4 nights. We felt stuck. I asked for a larger room, they do not have larger rooms, no snack area, the pool area was not taken care of. No towels in the pool area, dirty towels in the bins, we left the pool area, the next night, it was the same, never cleaned, toys were still laying around from the night before. Breakfast never had enough food, always low on bacon and eggs.They ran out of ketchup packets and the 4 days we were there, never got them in.
It is run down, old bulky furniture, dirty carpets. Needs new management and a complete overhaul.

The room smelled like feet my son was nauseous and kept feeling like he was going to vomit because of the smell so I sprayed it down with Febreze and wiped it down with Mr. Clean disinfectant, the comforter had blood stains on one of the beds so that told me they weren’t washed (I brought extra comforters) on top of that the tub had dirt stains and a clogged drain so I had some gloves and pulled out a chunk of hair out of the drain and disinfected the bathroom. Was told Housekeeping services can be provided every other day but it wouldn’t have been on the days we were there.

The hotel stay was ok but there was a bag of chips and a plate left under our beds so it makes me wonder how well they actually clean.

Overall good, but dated facilities
The overall experience was good. The biggest issue is that the hotel is extremely dated. The staff is friendly, the communication via text is great, including the availability of a digital key which makes the stay super convenient. The complimentary breakfast is solid, no complaints there. I just wish they would spend some money to update the facilities. Carpets and window shades are old, ice machines were all broken, and the fitness room is tiny. Location is good, right on the highway by all the restaurants. Value is decent as well.
