This place was very clean and quite cute. Rooms were basic but comfortable. Staff was kind and professional. However............don't try to check in between 5:30 and 6:30 as they are gone for dinner........ We arrived at 5:15, tired from an incredibly long drive, hoping to have time to shower and get to Mono Lake that evening. Needless to say, it was more than disappointing when we could not get into our room when we arrived. And then there were only two restaurants open. Apparently it happens every year right after the 4th of July - many of them run out of food. And thus I thought, if it happens every year.....

This was our third visit to the Silver Maple Inn. The staff has always been polite and helpful, and we've never had any issues with reservations or rooms, etc. The rooms are clean and comfortable. We enjoy this motel in part because of the grounds. It is a park-like setting very well maintained and we always find ourselves outside in the evening. Because its a small town, everything is walking distance. We will return again!

Worth trying in Bridgeport, CA
We tried this cute little motel during a recent fishing trip to the greater Bridgeport area (fished East Walker and Robinson Creek). As we've started fishing the area more often, we're looking to try each of the viable hotel/motel options.
The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Great personality for the woman I interacted with - she's in a good role as she's really good with people based on my limited exchanges.
The room we had was a King room. It was very clean and comfortable. They're smaller than the pictures may lead you to believe but again, comfortable. The king bed was nice enough. There's a small table with two chairs which helped when we were having crackers and cheese (with wine) at the end of a long day. The AC worked really well, and kept the room cool during a pretty hot couple of days, helping us to escape the heat during the day, and allowing us to sleep well. The bathroom was small, but fine, no issues. They could put a curtain or shade over the window to block light (and heat) from over-warming the bathroom. Shower was good. There's a TV with lots of options, and easy to use.
the only issue I'd highlight is that the wifi was ok, sometimes, but it cut out a lot which gave us some issues trying to run apps or watch something on Prime Video.
This is walking distance to each of the eating options in town (took us 10 minutes or less to walk to the end of town).
Overall I gave it a 3 rating but it's better than a couple others in the area, and worth trying.

Everything in the room was really run down or broken… seemed like a run down Motel 6. Furniture scratched or partially broken, cracked bathroom sink, toilet issue, broken coffee maker. Have no idea why this place received any good reviews, unless they only paid $50 or $60 for the room. The rate on this place was $139… ridiculous

Bed in #21 closest to the bathroom was so old that it gave my mom a back spasm that has lasted for days.
There was no microwave in the room.
The shower went frigid cold after 2 1/2 minutes.
The sheet rock around the shower needs to be repaired and repainted.
AC does not keep the room cold.
There was only hot coffee in the office one out of 4 attempts.
The staff is very friendly and they work very hard, the landscaping is lovely.
