Hidden Gem
I booked this week in December of 2025… I read a lot of reviews that had me a little scared. I was pleasantly surprised. Our unit was clean, no bugs, no issues with anything not working, linens were clean, etc. I traveled with best friend, my sons (18 and 20) and one of their friends. We had plenty of room. 3 bedrooms, 3 full baths. The starter items provided were ample, but I had brought my own supplies as well in terms of extra paper towels, tp, laundry and dish detergent. It’s not a hotel and is meant to be a home away from home. Appliances were stainless steel. It’s a gated community so there’s an extra measure of safety. There were plenty of lounge chairs at the pool and plenty of parking at the pool as well. Never had any issues. Literally the only issue was my friend had moved her car the night before she departed mid-week and wound up on the grass. When they say don’t park on the grass, do NOT touch one blade of grass. Otherwise you might be left with an obnoxiously large lime green sticker on your car window that is the devil to remove.
We found the front desk staff to be polite and helpful. We also aren’t the type to make crazy demands or have unrealistic expectations either. A little kindness and courtesy goes a long way.
Are the units a little older? Yes. However, there was WiFi with zero issues, hot water, and cold AC. Don’t discount this resort because of some bad reviews. We were happy and extremely pleased with where we stayed. Attached just a few photos from the day we were leaving.

The home we stayed in was nice. It was exactly as featured on the hotels.com site. The resort is in close proximity of grocery stores, breakfast restaurants and about 30 minutes outside of Orlando. The resort swim area has a lazy river but does not offer the flotation devices. You have to purchase them. Other resorts have them on hand for use. I will give the resort a 7 out of 10 which isn't bad.

I had stayed here before, back in January, and it was a great experience. Unfortunately, this time was very different.
The house had several maintenance issues. The washing machine was missing its handle, so I had to use a spoon to open it. I reported it, but no one came to fix it. On top of that, one of the wash cycles malfunctioned and ruined all of my clothes.
The refrigerator wasn’t making ice either. Two people came to try to fix it, but after they couldn’t, they just brought us a bag of ice.
There were also several other smaller issues with things being dirty, damaged, or in poor condition. The house is quite old and, unfortunately, it doesn’t seem to have been well maintained.

Will never stay here again
If your tire is touching the road or the grass by even a centimeter, you will be woken up at 1:30am and told to move it or it will be towed. There are several cars that had stickers to be towed when I moved my car to the paid lot, which is a vacant building that they charge $10 per night to park at. The pool area has a drain that is stopped up and has about 6 inches of pooling water on the walkway.

Zero Compassion and Impossible to Communicate With
We have been owners at Villas at Regal Palms since 2009. We used to enjoy the benefits of this timeshare, but now that we are in our 70s and 80s, we are dealing with severe medical issues. My husband recently had a heart attack and had three stents put in, and I was diagnosed with AFIB. Because we physically cannot travel anymore, we have spent the entire last year trying to arrange a hardship surrender or deed back.
Our experience with Soleil Management and Somerpointe Resorts in 2026 has been an absolute nightmare. We’ve been emailing them and asking for a medical hardship exit, but we were completely ignored for months. Instead of offering help, they just sent us another HOA and tax bill.
Our follow up emails have only led to automated replies telling us their email inboxes were "not monitored" for our inquiries and sister companies made it incredibly difficult to get in touch with a real person. Finally, on March 31, we received an email stating that their "legal team" had denied our request to cancel our timeshare, offering absolutely no explanation as to why.
When we called Owner Services to find out why our hardship request was rejected, the representative told us she didn't have that information. She informed us that we are forced to write and mail a physical letter to their Legal Department in Las Vegas just to get an explanation, because the Legal Department "no longer accepts emails".
This management company has shown zero compassion for owners facing serious, life altering health crises. They hide behind automated emails and unreachable legal departments. I strongly warn anyone against purchasing here. They will gladly take your money for years, but the moment you face any personal issues, they will trap you and make it impossible to communicate with them.
