The doorman couldn’t be bothered to open the door for us while we were carrying luggage. He was having a friendly conversation/socializing with someone right outside the door and clearly saw us each time we entered. The woman at the front desk gave me a, I can’t be bothered face, and pointed, when I asked where morning coffee was being served.

Worst hotel experience I have ever had
We stayed in The Kimpton Denver for two nights at the end of a 4 week road trip in the US - and it was a terrible end to a great holiday.
A month prior to our arrival in Denver we had emailed the hotel requesting an early check-in as we knew we were due to arrive at the hotel earlier than their 4pm check-in time, after some long travels. On the morning of arrival, we messaged again as our 6 year old daughter had fallen ill and we wanted to get her to bed as soon as possible.
We arrived at the hotel at midday, and were told that our room wasn’t available but to come back at 2pm and it should be ready. After 2 hours in a coffee shop round the corner, we returned to the hotel - the room still wasn’t ready despite the fact we were told our room would be prioritised for cleaning two hours previous. When we asked to speak to a manager we were told there were no managers on site (!) and we had to wait until tomorrow to speak to someone senior.
We went to wait in the lobby, where my daughter was clearly really suffering and was physically sick twice - further pleas for a room fell on deaf ears. The response from the front desk was that we hadn’t paid for early check-in so we’d just have to wait. They had zero sympathy for our situation and our deteriorating daughter’s health.
At 3.20pm, 40 minutes prior to the publicised check in time, we were given a room - not the spec we had originally booked (that STILL wasn’t ready), but we took it so we could get our daughter to bed.
The room we were given was fine - two nice beds and an adequate bathroom. The room did contain a door to an adjoining room - fairly common and not usually a problem. Unfortunately we found out that the adjoining door provided zero sound proofing and when our neighbours arrived back late at night, we were all woken and treated to a debrief of their night - swearing and all! The occupants weren’t at fault, they weren’t being particularly loud, it was the inadequacy of the hotel facilities.
The next morning, we eventually got to meet the manager on the front desk, who we explained the last 24 hour ordeal we’d been through. On the rare occasion they decided to switch their gaze and attention from the computer screen, we were told they’d have to speak to the staff who were on the front desk on the previous day and get back to us - we never heard back for the remainder of our stay.
If I were to continue to list the other factors that contributed to our awful experience at this hotel I would be here all day - the hotel is tired, not staffed correctly and they don’t care about the welfare of their customers. Don’t let the pictures mislead you - it is not of the standard they portray!
Denver is a great city and we had a lovely time exploring it - it also has plenty of lovely looking hotels in it. Do yourself a favour and DON’T book this one, you’ll be disappointed.

Not a value for a 4 star price
My room (516) was dark and depressing. The window overlooked a small air shaft and parking garage, and there was inadequate lighting in the room to compensate - very different from the photos on your website. The mattress was wallowed out and the WiFi didn’t work for a day and a half, and afterwards was so slow that I couldn’t receive emails. Going to the lobby to work on faster WiFi was impossible because most of the lobby was blocked off from a gas leak. For a 4-star rated hotel and the price I paid I was very disappointed with the accommodations and worn condition of the room. Not a value and I won’t stay with them again.

Great hotel in denver
Very helpful and friendly staff! Doesn’t give off the vibe of a typical corporate hotel chain, kind of quirky and cozy! Great location downtown, will definitely stay again next time I am I. Denver

Well not exactly the caliber we were expecting, the bathroom door would not close it was a pocket door and it took 2 of us to get it to move and then it would only close part way, some kind of electrical box flashed brightly all night!!!. No coffee pit in room and 1 cup of coffee at the restaurant was $8.00 nope not for my wallet. Early day front staff was pleasant and professional. Late evening staff was dressed like a homeless street urchin not professional at all. A very expensive hotel room but a one star experience.
