We absolutely loved our stay at this beautifully renovated hotel! We had one of the first floor rooms, which opens to a little private deck area, looking out at the dunes. The room was very neat and clean, minimalist vibes, but it did provide a couple of drawers, shelves, hangers, and several wall hooks giving us ample storage for our clothes and beach stuff. The room also offered a safe in the drawer of a bedside table, a sound machine, a TV, a mini fridge, a Nespresso machine, and a small sitting area.The bathroom was also clean and spacious. The hotel has a small pool, which I did not use but looked nice and had about eight or 12 Chaise lounges and additional seating around it the lobby was also clean modern minimalistic very appealing. There was a water dispenser machine in the hallway, a icemaker in the lobby, making it great for the beach days! The hotel offers its guests, a complementaryhappy hour each day with a local beer and some snacks, freshly baked cookies in the evening, and complementary quality continental breakfast in the mornings! The hotel also offers complementary beach chairs… Such a great bonus not to have to pack those! This hotel would be a great place to stay no matter where it was located… But the fact that it’s right on the beach, makes it a home run! The staff were also very nice, knowledgeable and helpful. We will definitely return!

Service and Staff are not what they were at Re-opening in spring 2025
A pleasant experience overall, but there has been a lot of staff turnover this year, and it no longer has the same welcoming, warm and personal "home away from home" feeling that previous front desk staff, including Tamieka and Asst. GM, Kris, strived to provide. I am very sad that they are no longer there. Now, it feels like any other impersonal, rigid, and at times, unprofessional, front desk experience and it's a shame, because the prior staff was a big part of the previous wonderful vibe. The front desk staff are central to the overall experience at this boutique hotel...greeting, check-in/check-out, common areas and amenities service, problem resolution, breakfast, happy hour and bedtime snack provision.
The front desk agent who greeted me was surly and unwelcoming and tried to charge me more than my confirmed total reservation cost, of which I had already prepaid the deposit. Thankfully, I had the printed confirmation to verify and challenged the new total...after checking with management, she begrudgingly honored the confirmed price. Wow.
Beyond that surprise, management keeps modifying the reservation change/cancellation policy and changes are now subject to a $30 fee (even for reservations made prior to the policy change)...I know of no other hotel or resort which does that. The policy, as written at this point, is nonsensical.
My room was clean and comfortable, but the room's patio and furniture had not been cleaned...there was trash from prior guests on the ground and a missing bench cushion and pillows. The A/C unit from the room above dripped onto the patio doorway and chaise, even after I reported it and was supposedly fixed by maintenance staff.
Housekeeping had not replaced the sound machine that someone must have taken prior to my stay (which they did upon request), and notepads/pens are no longer provided in the rooms, as confirmed by one of the new front desk staff.
Breakfast, happy hour and bedtime snack options and accoutrements are more limited now, although the food is still good.
The pool water was dirty, with hair, bugs and other debris on the surface and bottom. No idea why they added a dozen beach balls to the pool area, it just clutters the pool and small deck area and encourages kids to play, splash and annoy other guests who are trying to relax and not be splashed in or around the pool. Bad call and completely unnecessary. To wit, there were a number of young kids who were unsupervised (and loudly/disruptively playing with the balls and splashing everywhere), which is prohibited, but no staff overseeing or enforcing those particular rules.
It appears that, after a wonderful re-opening with thoughtful/unique/sensible touches, excellent staff and management in spring of 2025, the new management is more interested in cost cutting and fluff than substance and exceptional guest experiences. They seem to have forgotten that they are "dedicated to delivering exceptional service," per their advertising.

Awkward Drip
This was our second time visiting the hotel. Last year we stayed on the 3rd floor facing the parking lot. This year we splurged and went for the Ocean view balcony. When we arrived from traveling down, we went to take a nap, and the bed was full of sand, the pillows smelled like someone's hair. We went down, and the staff was very responsive, and the sheets were changed. We went down to the pool for a bit, which we really enjoy. When we came back we went on the deck to enjoy the view. The deck is small, and after sitting for a few seconds, the AC from above was dripping on my wife. There is not much room there to get away from it. We went down to happy hour, and last year there was a nice spread of appetizers. This year was pretzel nuggets and cheese. The beer ran out about halfway through, so also disappointing. But the biggest issue we had, was that we went back to the balcony, it is very awkward having people sit right under you. No privacy whatsoever. The decks on the second level should be extended out 18"-24". This would remedy the privacy issue, and help with the dripping AC.

This hotel was a perfect choice for a beach getaway. The location was ideal, with free parking for guests. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. My room was super cute, and right across the hall from the rooftop deck. With comfy lounge chairs and ocean views, it was a great spot to enjoy my morning coffee or a good book. The “happy hour” beers and bites in the lobby was a very welcome touch. I couldn’t be happier and I would absolutely stay here again!!

Small hotel with great appeal, location, and amenities!
Had a fantastic experience at this hotel. It’s a perfect location, with convenient free parking for guests. My room was spotless, very nice decor and a Nespresso coffee machine in the room. Two carafes of water were also provided in the room - I appreciated that I didn’t have to buy overpriced bottles of water! My room was across the hall from the rooftop deck, which was a cozy quiet spot to read and listen to the ocean. All of the staff I interacted with were super friendly! They also offer a complimentary happy hour in the lobby with beer and small snacks, and the free breakfast was great. This is a great location and a perfect, relaxing place to stay. I can’t recommend it enough.
