A breathtakingly scenic location and a good floor plan for a group.

We stayed at the Raven Guesthouse. The views are amazing, as is the house. The kitchen is fully stocked to prepare even the most involved meals. There is a bathroom for every room in the house, so it is perfect for a group or family. There are 2 separate living areas, one upstairs and one downstairs, so kids and adults can do their own things. Christie is an amazing host, who will go out of her way to make everything perfect. We saw bald eagles, magpies, and ravens every day from the back deck. The house feels very secluded, yet is still a short drive into town. Don't forget to book a day or two of fishing with Daniel when you reserve this house. We are SOOOO glad we stayed here rather than Lands End Resort.

Nest Guesthouse

Stayed at the Nest Guesthouse for two nights. Great views from all three rooms upstairs and from the large outside deck.Spacious and clean house with well stocked kitchen. We had a great time and look forward to staying there again

Best Place to Stay in Homer, AK

Whether you are coming to Homer, AK for a fishing trip or just sightseeing. I highly recommend staying at one of Daniel's guesthouses; The Nest or The Raven.
I have visited Homer, AK 3 times now. The first year I stayed at The Nest. The last 2 trips, most recently (June 2015) I stayed in The Raven. The accommodations are great as you would expect staying in a guesthouse. Much better than a hotel as you have all of the comforts of home. The views are spectacular and the drive into Homer is just minutes away.

Spectacular view from a fantastic lodge! Thank you Monte Hagerty!

My friend Monte organized this fantastic stay and fishing trip the next day...
As soon as we arrived we found the lodge so huge and cool, the view over the Ocean just amazing!
The following morning breakfast and then straight to the boat for a fantastic and unforgettable fishing trip....
I really recommend Daniel's, the owner is very friendly and super nice, wonderful experience!
Thank you Monte Hagerty and Insulfoam for taking me and my colleagues Fabio and Riccardo, we appreciated all you did for us!

Awesome lodging and cliff side view of Cook Inlet!

Daniel and Chris Donich have 3 homes for lodging. Daniel operates a charter fishing boat. We stayed in the Outlook it was the smallest and yet very spacious for our party of 4. Everything was modern, clean and welcoming. We had 2 bedrooms, a bath, large spacious living room with window views of water below and mountains across the inlet. The eat in kitchen was amply supplied with coffee beans & grinder, milk, sugar, oatmeal, cereal etc. Water was plentiful and hot. We had a washer/dryer with laundry soap and softener supplied by Chris. We used the gas weber grill and enjoyed the spacious deck on a daily basis. You will need a car since the site is not in town (a plus for us). The Lookout is accessed by a short set of stairs. I believe their larger cottage (the Raven) is on a level with the parking, but ask if that is important. They also have another home to rent called The Nest. We visit Alaska often from our home in Florida. We will definitely stay here again!!
