Darling roadside boutique motel. Very clean, decorated super cute. Nice full size shampoo & conditioner, it really smelled good. The air conditioner and heater worked well. Bed was comfortable. Great price, especially considering it was a hoilday weekend. All dealings with staff were in messages, rather than in-person (which I prefer). Received code for the door via message the morning of check-in. I suppose that could create a problem if you were not in a service area. However, the office door has contact information. The VIP card for a free dessert at the sister property was an extra special touch and the bananas foster bread pudding was amazing. I would stay here again if my travels take me back to Fall River Mills.

You have to have a code that they send you in an email. We couldn’t find the email but finally after 30 minutes going thru junk mail I found it under where I had not even booked thru. The gentleman in charge was trying to help me. The lobby is closed. The rooms are small unless you get the deluxe room. The tile in the shower was dirty looking. The room was cute. The food at their restaurant which is about a mile away was good. We didn’t get a coupon for a free dessert but our friends did.

This is my third time staying there, and to be honest the fact that there is no one there to talk to for any issues that arise is pretty annoying.
The rooms are pleasant, the shower heads are way too low and I don't like having to transport the attractive but giant toiletries into the shower with me or that the towels are outside the bathroom.
Someone left a VIP voucher for me to get a dessert at the local hotel, but by the time I get to my room I have already eaten so what's the use?
I wish the codes for the rooms came to me in a more instant way like SMS, when you arrive tired at night and then have to go searching for the codes in the app, email etc. it's not ideal.

Nice clean and quiet rooms. The only thing I was bothered by was the condition of the sheets. They were pilled and uncomfortable. They need to get some crisp sheets that are not so worn you can feel it when you lay down.

Millz Manor is a clean, peaceful, and good-value option for travelers who prefer a cozy atmosphere over extra space. I stayed one night on August 15, 2026, after booking the previous day due to a last-minute change in plans. Since I arrived after business hours, check-in instructions were sent in advance and were simple to follow.
The room, at about 225 sq. ft., felt very small at first, but the layout was impressively efficient. It included a queen bed, side table, desk with TV, dressing table, one-person couch, mini-fridge, and bathroom with shower, while still leaving enough room to move around.
The property was quiet, the mattress was comfortable, and we slept very well. AT&T reception was strong, so we did not need the available Wi-Fi.
For Lassen Volcanic National Park visitors, note that the drive is about 90 minutes, which may be longer than some prefer. Fall River Mills is small and spread out, but it has the essentials and a peaceful charm.
Overall, Millz Manor offers excellent value for travelers comfortable with a compact room. The northern route is also scenic, with McArthur-Burney Falls nearby, and Fall River Lake is an underrated stop worth visiting.
