Quite place in the Berkshires. Plenty of restaurants less than a mile away. The suite was big.

Avoid unless you have no choice
I share the sentiments of the other two reviewers. There is no staff and has Bates Motel vibes. Someone is making a lot of money off this place. Unless you have no other options, avoid at all costs. We paid $200 for a tiny, cement floored room with two queen beds, 3 packets of decaf, beach towels, and plywood nailed to the wall. Rustic style? I don't think so. It was renovated a couple of years ago and already, the wallpaper is coming off the walls and the paint is chipping. The bright spot? The beds were comfortable. If this is the future of motels, I'll be buying a camper.

Stay away unless you're ok being their employee
Beware, The Brooks Motel is a misrepresented do-it-yourself motel…. And they cant even do "do it yourself " right...
It starts with not telling you (on Expedia or their own website) that it is a front desk-less motel with remote/virtual check-in until you actually show-up to check-in, unless you have nothing better to do than read Expedia messages (which I don't and which still don't tell you that in-person check-in is NOT available).
Nothing wrong with the person-less concept but tell people so they can decide if they want that. And then, make sure it works, which it didn't. After calling the on-line number, I reached what sounded like an overseas call center. I was then told about the Expedia email, told to fill out an on-line form and I would get my room and code to enter. I hung up and dutifully followed their orders. I found the Expedia message and filled out the on-line form. Then I waited and waited and waited for an email to my email address (as advertised) to tell me my room number and code. It never came and after 15 minutes I called the number in the Expedia email and got the same person at the "call center". She tried to email me directly and it didn't work. So she sent another message through Expedia and texted me the room and code info. Half an hour later, rather than a check-in at a front desk, I finally had a room assignment and a code in lieu of a room key. But there is more...
When I finally got a room number and code by text, (because there is no one to hand you a key) the keypad on the room door did not work because the keypad was dead or broken. Back on the phone and text w "call center" and after another 10 minutes I was told how I could get a key from a lock box to get in my room.
After returning from dinner to watch tv.... not so fast... tv remote no workie... I had to text the "call center" again and was told to go across the way to a housekeeping closet.... I dutifully went, but there were no batteries in the closet. Back to my room. Text "call center" again. They respond that they have no "team member" at front desk or on-site (no kidding) and instead put me to work..., They literally told me to get in a vehicle and go find a store and buy some batteries myself... they would reimburse me upon presenting a receipt... I told them I don't work for them - I'm a paying guest.
I rarely do reviews, and there's certainly nothing inherently wrong with running a do-it-yourself motel concept, but 1) tell customers so they can decide whether that's what they want; 2) operate it properly so that guests can actually do it themselves; and 3) don't put your guests to work for you.
The call center apologized and asked how they could "make it right" and I said, "refund me". They gave me another number to call, but I was beyond sick and tired of getting on another call and waste my time to accommodate The Brooks Motel's incompetency. I'd rather let others know.
The Brooks Motel do-it-yourself "hospitality" may be something others don't mind tolerating, especially if it came at a reduced price - it didn't, it was the same as full-service motels in the area - but not I. I'm just giving fair warning because The Brooks Motel didn't.

We may have arrived at a bad time. Upon entering the room, we found grass and dirt on the floor, and during our stay, there were bugs inside. Additionally, one of the curtains is broken and cannot be fully closed. Due to the holiday, no maintenance could be done. The door code did not work, so we had to contact staff to get in. The mobile signal is weak in that area, and unfortunately, the regional internet was also down on the day we arrived. However, the staff did respond fairly quickly over the phone.

Sand particles on floor. Very basic amenities. For $200 I expected MUCH more.
