PERFECT
Even though the Circle is under new management, nothing has changed. To us, its always been the perfect place to stay in Waikiki. Being on the smaller side, it doesn't have a pool or its own restaurant but with the ocean directly across Kalakaua Avenue and multiple restaurants close by its not necessary. What it does offer is value for money, the friendliest staff who always make you feel welcome and most rooms providing magnificent ocean views, its our happy place.

Location is perfect. We booked one night to begin with to check it out. Then we decided to book 3 more nights. But even though we booked the exact same room type we were told that we had to check out and in again and we couldn’t keep the same room so we had to pack all our stuff which was very annoying and it wasn’t in a nice way we were told that we couldn’t stay in the same room. And they didn’t clean our room once. Other than that it’s a fine hotel

Wonderful informative staff, very helpful. Beautiful view from room and wonderful access to the water and everything in Waikiki!

Good value, amenities and location
It was good value when I booked it although circling (no pun intended) back the rates look higher.
I had an ocean view even though I was a bit sideways, the room is a bit small but well laid out. I love the RO (reverse osmosis) cold water fountain downstairs and the free DVD rentals are a nice touch. I didn't make use of them but they could be nice if you got a little too much sun or got injured or were under the weather.
Staff were friendly and helpful, beds were comfy, and the WiFi was decent.
Great beginner surfing right across the street with ample surf instructors and rentals and plenty of great places to eat and drink. I will however give the adjacent breakfast place a pass in the future because despite being across the street from the beach they are afraid of bare feet.

Love that you called out the RO cold water station — that’s one of our favorite features too. And yes, the complimentary DVD rentals are a bit of a retro throwback, but they come in handy after a long beach day (or if the sun wins the battle). Sometimes a little air-conditioning and a movie night is exactly what Waikīkī calls for.

And you’re absolutely right — having beginner-friendly surf breaks right across the street is such a special perk. It’s hard to beat rolling out of bed and walking straight to a surf lesson.

Location, Location, Location. Yes, it has the perfect location for Waikiki. Rooms were OK, quite small for 4 people, but the large sliding doors opening up to the balcony were great to extend the room. Aircon was quite noisy first night, but seemed better the other 2 nights. Wasn't informed they only clean every 3 days and requested cleaning after 2 nights, which was confirmed, but then didn't happen. Too bad.
We did get late checkout till 6PM (at a fee) which helps for a 9.25PM flight out! Also, beach towels available for the beach is great.
