Great place to stay especially if you are white water rafting or just want a great couples getaway. The rooms are unique and well themed. They had the best smelling soap ever. The place was very quiet and peaceful. Great value for the money.

No flexibility in rebooking

Booked one upcoming night at this hotel before a 2-day river rafting trip on the Lochsa. The Rafting outfitter contacted us 10 days prior to the trip and cancelled due to low water/ unable to raft. We completely understand the Inn’s no refund policy but we called to inquire about a possible credit next for season. Most inns and hotels in remote locations are very personable and often flexible to their guests who drive long distances to enjoy their unique surroundings. Not this Inn. Whoever took our call was unfriendly and clearly not interested in extending a credit. Our loss but their loss too as we have already rebooked the rafting trip for 6 of us next June and will be staying elsewhere.

Was the quietest place weve ever stayed and no smell of cigatette smoke because of my athma irs really hard to find a comfortable place to stay. Ask how to use the heat and bring your swim suit for the hot tub. The signs outside to direct you to park and to the office arent well lit but the big house is where you check in. Its definitely worth the money, just wish we had more time to see the river across the street and try the waffles and the hot tub. If we have a chance we will definitely book another room. Staying in the christmas room in May was cozy and even tho we stayed 2 hrs from our destination it was worth it.

Disappointing

We chose this inn largely based on the many excellent reviews and the photos of the facilities. I don’t know if ownership or management has changed, but it was not what we were expecting. The room was dusty and full of spiderwebs, and there were dead bugs on the floor and around the window. The trash can outside the room was overflowing and not emptied the entire 3 days we were there. The hot tub wasn’t working. The decor was odd; rocks and a toy car, and there were printed notices taped to the walls and doors that were falling off and made the whole place look tacky. It’s sad, because this inn is located in a beautiful setting and could be really nice with a little more effort.

My room was beautifully decorated and very spacious. Everything I needed for my short stay. Mini fridge and microwave in the room. There was a common kitchen very close by with a full-size refrigerator, stove, sink, microwave, toaster, and kitchen appliances, as well as plates. In warmer weather, there were numerous barbecue grills outside to cook food that you may have brought with you.
