This was one of my absolute favorite stays ever!! What an incredible property!! I will look for excuses to come back! Staff was superb, room was extraordinary & the breakfast was amazing!! What a phenomenal stat!!

A Quaint Slice of 19th Century Mobile
A quiet, central location in a walkable neighborhood. Clean and comfortable room in the main house. The house has been gutted and completely updated with modern electric, heating/cooling and plumbing.
Read the room descriptions carefully before booking.! There are several buildings that this hotelier has purchased for guest accommodation, most of the immediate neighborhood, in fact. Also in the main building where we stayed there is only a service elevator the housekeepers use, but guests may use it on request.
A cafe located across the street serves most days breakfast, lunch and dinner. Breakfast was included with our room rate; for an upcharge, more or different items are available. Coffee and tea is available anytime in the inn, self serve. Staff are at the desk with regular hours, and a contact number for late night, if you need assistance.
The immediate neighborhood is nice with free street parking available near the front door. For those unacustomed to cities, it may be noisy at night with the water traffic, the rail traffic, and the steady drone of the interstate as it snakes past this historic neighborhood.

Absolutely lovely hotel with beautiful and very clean rooms, luxurious bed linens and high end ( L’Occitane) bathroom products. Delicious hot breakfast at Bistro across the street included in rate. Convenient location to downtown and cruise ship terminal.

The property was very nice. However, I was disappointed because some of the rooms are in separate buildings and the restaurant was in a separate building.
What I enjoy about historic properties is the ability to be in the historic home, to enjoy sitting in the lounge and the living room/common space.Fort Conde really doesn't really offer this experience. It rained almost the entire time so being part of the common area doesn't exist.
The restaurant is across the street and is excellent.

Terrible experience
Our daughter booked a two night stay from 15-17 June 26. I called a couple of days before arriving and ordered champagne and chocolate covered strawberry to celebrate our 54th wedding anniversary, which were not in our room when we checked in. I went back to the check in clerk and asked about my order and she asked if I could wait until five to have my order delivered. At 5:15 I went back to the check in clerk and again asked about my order, and her response that she forgot. I cancelled my order. Ft. Conde had an opportunity to make our celebration special, but failed terribly. When we got hope I wrote an email to the owner and he failed to respond, another disappointment. I won’t be going back nor do I recommend anyone booking with them for any special occasions, the staff simply don’t care.
