Excellent hotel, comfortable , quiet and ocean front !

Lovely Oceanfront hotel with free parking on-site. Breakfast is also free, a rare bonus , with a great selection of food and delicious coffee! Breakfast staff are amazing, working hard to keep the juice and coffee containers full along with the breakfast items.
Guest rooms are larger than most hotels with a good number of ocean front rooms with spectacular views .
The staff is very pleasant and friendly, making check-in easy and quick.
Nice outside pool area with mostly adults, never found it too crowded.
Found this hotel quieter than most due to no restaurant and bar area for lunch or dinner . Quick walk to many restaurants , shops close by , a few right next door !
Highly recommend !

Oceanfront room, on bottom level had great views but was damp with a cold floor-probably due to being somewhat of a basement level. Floors above might have been better in that regard

Tranquil, Relaxing, Lovely Resort! Grand Views! Immaculate Rooms! Wonderful Staff!

The Sparhawk is a wonderful resort, a grand way to relax in an oasis of quiet rest, “Far From The Madding Crowd”. We enjoyed our 29th year at this wonderful resort in 2025 (which means our next visit be our thirtieth year!).
Everyone on the staff is unfailingly friendly, happy and helpful. You feel welcome from the moment you step over the threshold. Be sure to ask the staff for their recommendations for attractions and most especially for dining.
The housekeeping is prompt, detailed and superlatively clean. Our room in the Barbara Dean was, as it always is, immaculate. As I have said before, I say again, the level of cleanliness is absolutely equal to a Ritz-Carlton.
There is a lovely continental breakfast, just enough to get you started, and coffee and tea all day. The pool is heated, really quite warm, and, especially if you get there when it first opens at eight AM, quiet and not at all crowded.
The grounds and the flowers are unfailingly beautiful and well-kept. The views of the Atlantic are always grand, from the grounds, the Marginal Way and the balconies of the rooms.
It is remarkably peaceful and quiet even though it is on Shore Road and abuts Marginal Way - you can sit in a chair on the grounds or the balconies and read a book in peace, watching the clouds roll by. And you are in the middle of town a short walk to the beaches, restaurants and Perkins Cove.
I recommend that you stay early or late in The Season. Ogunquit is lovely and quiet in June, lazy Summer days, but by July or August is quite bustling, mind, not at all bad, it is just a lot busier and more crowded.
We have also stayed in recent years in early September and early October. The Sparhawk was just enjoyable and quiet as during June. Almost all of the restaurants and attractions are still open and Ogunquit is still quite busy, almost as much as it is in June, in those late Summer/early Fall days.

Perfect location, gorgeous ocean views, wonderful staff. Breakfast is a little lacking (think Hampton Inn style buffet) and the breakfast room is very tight with the tables and chairs, but it’s complimentary so it’s not fair to complain too much. Rooms are big and comfortable, but you can easily hear TVs and loud conversations from adjacent rooms and footfalls from above. But who spends much time in their room in Ogunquit? Overall, a very nice experience at Sparhawk.
