Room was clean. Staff helpful. Didn’t get a chance to have breakfast either days, the system of pre filled form for breakfast didn’t work for us. Didn’t get a chance to go to the bar

Charming & Comfortable Stay!

Our 2-night stay at Four Chimneys Inn was wonderful! It actually was our favorite place we stayed on our 4-town & 4-Inn vacation throughout Vermont as it relates to overall comfort, convenience and charm! We were greeted warmly upon our arrival by Kate, and she was a pleasure to speak with on other occasions.
We stayed in Room 10 on the ground floor. It was near the lobby and front entrance but inside the room was very quiet. It was spacious, bright, serenely decorated, and WOW the bedding was divine as well as the very comfortable mattress. The sheets were SO soft and there were plenty of pillows. It was hard to get out of bed in the morning! As this was an ADA room, we had a spacious bathroom and walk in shower. There were plenty of towels and places for our things. The adjacent glassed in porch had a mini fridge (very convenient for us). The AC worked very well, and the blackout drapes were appreciated. There was a mini coffee maker which my husband used. At the foot of the king bed there was a lovely couch which was nice to have. Also the housekeeping service was great!
We ate two tasty breakfasts, served by the very pleasant and accommodating Marc, in the lovely dining room overlooking the grounds and garden. The food was excellent. We found it very convenient to fill out the breakfast choices & time desired on the card the night before so we could start our day's adventures right after breakfast.
We so enjoyed our stay at Four Chimneys and if you're at all on the fence between choices, don't be - stay here!

Had a great experience here. The staff was friendly and helpful. Chatting with the bartender and other guests at the bar over a nightcap made for an enjoyable evening. The room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was fantastic.

Lovely inn, great sleep

This is a lovely inn in a beautiful setting just off the beaten path, although you can be in the heart of Bennington in just 2 minutes. The innkeeper, Kate, was very nice and the room was well appointed and very comfortable. Although there were other guests at the inn, it was very quiet at night and we slept well. Breakfast was good - they accommodated my husband’s special requests without a quibble. Definitely recommend, and if we are in the area we will go back.

Peaceful and whimsical stay in a historic inn. The breakfast was delicious (served with the best local maple syrup) and location was a 5 minute drive to the downtown area.
