My son and I stayed here for a night this weekend while we were at the Maine Renaissance faire in nearby Acton. I have to say, I knew very little about the property, but the reviews on TripAdvisor seemed pretty good, so I took a chance! I am so glad I did! The room was extremely clean and very comfortable. The beds were great with very comfortable pillows… Three great pillows on each of the two queen beds. The tub and shower combination in the bathroom was excellent! Really large and comfortable bathtub. Air conditioning was perfect. The owner at the front desk was very friendly and efficient. We were there for just one night, but it was a perfect day! If you see photos of this hotel/motel, it may look like an old-fashioned motel, but it seems like it has been recently renovated with new flooring, new air, and more! It was just what we needed after a long day at the Renaissance faire! Quiet, comfortable, and clean… Who could ask for more?

The Return of Fitbit and Charger
The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable.
I left my Fitbit watch and charger in the room. I called and asked for it to be shipped back to me. I did say I would pay for the return and would like it back asap. The manager called to say he would mail my watch and charger back and that I did not need to pay for the return. I thought that was very kind of the manager to do that. I would recommend this hotel. It was nothing fancy but very clean, nice and a pleasant room. ..... Anna

STAY AWAY!!!
Reserved a room for one night (a bit overpriced for the area but was OK). The owner requires a $100 security deposit but you only get $94 back--and all of the deposit if you give them cash----when I said why, I was told it's a tax on it--NEVER hear of that. The 2 people at the desk (they were very helpful) had a hard time with my credit card--which made me even more nervous. In the end, the owner waived the fee because of the issue they were having putting it on my card, plus a line waiting to check-in.. The next morning i received a fraudulent charge notice from my credit card company. I went to the office to assure the deposit was not on the card--the owner started yelling at me saying I was unhappy about this and that--which was not true at all. Long story....NEVER stay at the Sanford Inn for any reason!!! The owner yelling at me, issue with using a credit card. Best to find a nicer place in the area. Just my advice.

BEWARE!!!!!
I googled pet friendly motels and hotels and this came up. I then paid through Agoda (as I am on a budget) . I then called to confirm my reservation and the guy yelled at me and said no pets. (I literally called within 5 minutes of booking) I asked for a reimbursement to my card and he told me to contact Agoda. I called Agoda and they told me no problem they just had to get confirmation from the owner. Well it am still waiting. You can’t advertise something, not deliver and keep people’s hard earned money. I am filing a claim with the bbb and whoever else I can. Never mind the rudeness. BEWARE!!!

Very Nice Experience
My fiance and I have stayed at Sanford Inn several times while waiting for our apartment to be ready. It is always very neat and clean and the staff is more than helpful. Our apartment is finally ready and I have to say that we will miss our weekends there. I highly recommmend!
