Run away and don't book here

Stay away from this hotel. They are rude! Rooms aren't guaranteed if you book 3rd party. (Priceline) I almost fell through the floor, AC didn't work and they are using space heaters in the rooms for heat. (Major fire hazard) Staff is ignorant place smells like old mold and dead people. Save yours self the hassle and go somewhere else.

WORST HOTEL EVER!!! STAY AWAY!!! DISGUSTING!!!

This is the most disgusting hotel in which I've ever stayed. My husband and I had never before been to Scranton but, after driving several hundred miles from New England, decided to spend one night in town before driving home to D.C. After finally finding the hotel, no easy task, at around 10 p.m., the first thing we noticed was a stop work order that had been posted the day before on the front door. The hotel had started renovations without getting the appropriate permits, never a good sign. At the front desk, my husband overheard another guest ask for a different room because hers was overrun with cockroaches and she had her baby with her. I did not see any cockroaches in our room, but we couldn't watch TV because the volume had only one setting: deafening. It was just too late to find another room in a city we'd never visited. When I went to take a shower the next morning, I noticed hair and other materials in the bath tub. No TV, and no shower for us. The hallways were literally crumbling, the wallpaper and paint peeling. Choice Hotels, which owns the EconoLodge brand, gave us 8000 points to make up for our experience, but Harron Patel, the EconoLodge manager, didn't even have the courtesy to respond to my email, let alone refund the more than $90 we spent to stay less than 12 hours in that dump. STAY AWAY!

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

I cannot remember ever having a worse experience than this. There was no ice available. The deadbolt would not turn. The lock above the deadbolt was broken off. Cigarette burns in the blanket. Light switch by door turned on nothing. Not the accessible room I had asked for. Toilet paper dispenser empty (I could not fill). And worst of all- bathroom was full of BUGS!

I learned my lesson. I will never go to a 2 star hotel because it is cheap.

The picture of the room was misleading. Roaches in the bathroom. Ceilings and walls are bucking outward. The hallway and stairs were not cleaned. Unpleasant smell, Breakfast was coffee and muffins. The quilt had holes in it. Missing light fixture in the bathroom. Trash bags in the hallway.

Horrible stay

The worst econo lodge I have ever been to I was up here for work DO NOT STAY HERE !!!!! I felt so horrible I just should have slept in my car.. it was disgusting had to slam door so loud just to close... felt nasty.. this is a place not for me was scared to sleep
