BUYERS BEWARE
Our family came from ohio to a wedding in seattle. We chose here because it was central.We've never been to seattle. There were problems from the beginning. I felt uncomfortable having to send my Driver's license and a selfie. Just to get a code, to get into the building. 1005 was our unit VINCE is the owner. Upon arrival, we were told there would be a fob to take out the trash of which you don't. There is a $250. Charge. And for the laundry room, if we needed it. When we get there, there are two keys with a key tag.One key worked for the door we have no idea what the other key was for and there was no fob. The first day my husband gets locked out, taking the trash out because he thought he could use the code that gets you into the building. That was incorrect. We needed a fob. We were there from a thursday to a tuesday. On saturday, at five o'clock, when all the staff leaves, including maintenance. Our code stopped working. Through many conversations, lots of picture taking and being locked in or out of this whole entire building. Finally, the owner vince tells me he's doing his best. And gets me another code seventeen hours later, one o'clock on a sunday. We missed the wedding. We missed the reception by Sunday morning at 10 o'clock. When I did not hear from him or have a code to get -Out. We decided to book and leave hotels. It's very unsafe there.Drug deals constantly on the outside. I rented through expedia. Of which was no help to getting any of my money back and vince absolutely refused a refund. After my first review, he sent me a message.Telling me he would return thirty percent of one night. Because he actually got me a code seventeen hours later. We had our one year old granddaughter with us, and there was no way we could leave and not get back in. As all her things were in there. So we wasted our whole trip. I'm dealing with vince.I have been an expedia customer for fifteen years.And never had a problem like this. I thought I would use the aardvark partnership that he uses for airbnb management. Come to find out when I look up them. They have 2 stars and Vince is the owner of that as well. So basically, no one to complain about vince, too.

We had a terrible experience at this property and checked out next morning instead of staying 3 days. I will try listing everything, but I'm sure I'll miss something:
1) Property mng (or owner) provided door code, but not the unit number (it's a large old multi-store building); when I texted him that we were inside the building, he stated he was on the phone
2) I had to ask for WiFi pass as it is not assumed/listed as "free wifi"
3) The place is poorly maintained: 3.1 in need of a paint job 3.2 stained carpet 3.3 broken curtains (light comes from outside in the morning 3.4 rusted light fixture (bath) 3.5 kitchen area has dirty droplets of something hanging from the ceiling 3.5 bath is worn to the point that it is very slippery; easy to fall 3.6 bath ventilation is super old and very loud
4) I separated this point on purpose. I made reservation at 7 am for the same day. Seattle had a head wave, but the property listed "air conditioning". We checked in at 7 pm. Air conditioning is an old worn unit that produced very loud noise and after 9 hours of such blowing reduced temperature from 75F to 74F. I couldn't sleep
There were pros: bed seemed clean and location is good with parking nearby.
The building is old and the street is dirty (not dirty as any downtown street, but dirty as "not being cleaned often enough"; the food homeless left on the street was there at night and in the morning.

Where should I start?
Stay away from Elektra #1503
Stocking! Old. Dirty. Dark & smelly hallways. Dim bathroom lighting. Makeshift air-con setup. Cracked basin. Unreliable electricity supply. Thin blankets. Cold nights in summer. Air-con temperature was not adjustable. Pipes & wiring behind skirting boards were visible. Pool noodles were used to cover up pipes in bathrooms.

If there was an option to leave zero stars, they would have zero. This rental is horrible. 1st day, we are ready to go. And they want a picture of my driver's license and a selfie before even giving. New details on how to check in. Of which they do not give you until twenty four hours before your stay. We get there and there is supposed to be a key and a key fob. The key fob is for the laundry room and take to take the trash out of which they say if you don't, you will be charged two hundred and fifty dollars. So no key fob, to get the trash out. We had our one year old granddaughter with us, babysitting, from ohio, to go to a wedding. She threw up the first night and I needed to do laundry. The owner of this property responds, but with zero.Solutions. Just lots of questions and asks you to take pictures of things. Lots of drug activity outside. So very unsafe area. We were there from a thursday until a tuesday. Well we were supposed to be. On saturday, around five forty five, there is a code to get in to the whole building. Our code stopped working.No one could help.There was no number to call the staff in the entire building was gone until monday. So now, thankfully, my husband was in the room with our grandbaby and had to come down. And let me in the preside. We missed the wedding physics. We missed the brunch the next day. Seventeen hours later, he gave us some sort of code that supposedly would have worked.But by then, we had to leave and go get another hotel..

AVOID 1308/ Evolve - Old and Tacky with poor Service
We were scheduled to stay 9-12aug 2024. Despite the location being central we decided to bail out after two nights due to:-
1) No Air Con bar a useless mobile unit
2) Old building - host admitted pipes were old - toilet became blocked and not useable. Promised to come out when messaged at 10am - Dani then ghosted us and only appeared 12/13 hours later after we had escalated it with booking.com and then came after 11pm and managed to free it.
3) Very Noisy as windows are old and not in any way blocking out the sound of a busy freeway very close by.
4) hardly any presence in the building and poor security - when we moved in apart from a digital key at the front door the actual unit (1308) was left unlocked and anyone could have walked in. We had to call to find out where the physical keys were left.
5) The host/ manager for EVOLVE (Dani) seemed to think it was ok to promise to call and deal with the plumbing issue and then to ignore calls and messages - no genuine regard for the guest
6) Decor very dated and walls cracked and a broken mirror in the living area waiting to fall down.
