From check-in to check-out, the 4 staff members that I dealt with were considerate, professional, polite, respectful and helpful in all things. The room was very clean with the appropriate amount of amenities and the A/C ran reasonably quiet while in use. The included breakfast was plentiful with a wide variety of selection. The bed was a bit uncomfortable and could have used a bit more padding between the “support system”and the bottom sheet for a firm but smooth mattress experience. The frame holding the bed (or the metal encasing the frame) was loose and a bit noisy. My overall experience was enjoyable with these suggestions provided for some improvements to bring the rating to excellent.

Room wasn’t as clean as I would normally would like but ok just for one night. Other than that was a good night stay! Would come again:))

We stayed at this hotel almost 1 year ago and the changes we saw were all downhill. The pool was not clean, it had black algae all over the bottom of the pool and broken tiles around the edges of the pool. Our room was not very clean and had a broken bed table and no power in the outlet for a lamp or phone charger. The breakfast room was not cleaned well and had torn curtains on at least two windows. The food served was scrambled eggs, potatoes and potatoes and bacon added to the scrambled eggs. Biscuits, bread lot of carbs and NO fruit. Nothing not even bannanas or apples. I saw guests with families walk in check out the food and only let their adolescent boys eat sealed Little Debbie muffins and left.

The pictures make this place look much nicer than it actually is. There was a broken-down car in the parking lot that looked like it had been stolen and stripped. When I asked about it, I was told it belonged to the owner. I found it bizarre that the owner would leave such an eyesore right in front of the hotel. It gave the property the appearance of the kind of place people rent by the hour.
I definitely wouldn’t stay here again. The “free” breakfast was a joke, and overall the hotel was a huge disappointment. I guess that’s what you get for around $100 a night, but honestly, I think I would have had a better experience at a Motel 6.

THIS MOTEL SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN DUE HEALTH VIOLATIONS. BUYER BEWARE!
OUR ROOM WAS DIRTY AND THE MOTEL ITSELF DIRTY AND BROKEN DOWN.
FREE BREAKFAST WAS DISGUSTING! I THREW AFTER EATING TOAST AND TERRIBLE COFFEE.
WE LEFT THE ROOM ALL DAY AND WE DID NOT PLACE DO NOT DISTURB SIGN ON THE DOOR, WE ARRIVED LATE AFTERNOON THE ROOM WAS NOT MADE,
NO FRESH TOWELS AND DO NOT DISTURB SIGN ON THE DOOR WHICH WE DID NOT PLACE.
I COMPLAINED TO THE FRONT DESK WITH LITTLE RESPONSE.
WE WERE TOLD THE TROLLEY STOPPED AT THE MOTEL YES BUT NOT REALLY ONLY DRIVE BY TO SEE THE OLDEST TREE IN ST AUGUSTINE.
PHOTOS WERE PHOTOSHOP AND NOT TRUE AT ALL. CENTER TREE WAS NOT LID AND FURNITURE IN THE PHOTO DID NOT MATCH THE BEAT-UP JUNK YARD CHAIRS. THE MOTEL HAS THREE BROKEN DOWN BMW IN THE PARKING LOT, MOTEL OVERALL DIRTY.
OUR ROOM HAD NO WATER PRESSURE, BEDS BROKEN DOWN, AC NOT WORKING AS IT SHOULD. MOLD INSIDE THE DRESSER. WE ONLY STAYED TWO NIGHTS BUT HONESTLY, I WANT MY MONEY BACK. HOTEL. COM SHOULD NOT ACCEPT THIS TYPE OF MOTEL ON THEIR SITE.
WHAT UPSET THE MOST THE REQUIRED DEPOSIT FOR ROOM DAMAGE AND SMOKING! WHAT A JOKE.
VILLA 1565 CLOSE TO THE HISTORIC CITY BUT NOT WORTH IT AND ST AUGUSTINE BUILDING AND HEALTH SHOULD SHUT IT DOWN.
THE STAFF WAS RUDE.
SHUT THIS MOTEL DOWN. I WANT A REFUND FOR THIS NIGHTMARE WE EXPERIENCE.
