The only thing that would have made it even better would have been a microwave in room. I also was not a fan of the smart fridge maybe because it wouldn’t get cold enough

I had one room reserved for 1 night. Got to the desk just before 4pm to check in. (Bearing in mind, their check in is at 4pm)
The lady behind the desk proceeded with the protocols of my ID and Credit card. Then soon after was about to issue a key. I then sked if i could get a room on the lowest floor available, to which she obliged and issued me the key to room 241.
I thanked her and went up stairs. I realised the room was almost a good 3-5 mins walk from the elevator, which i wasn't happy with, so i returned to the desk to ask for a change to one closer to an elevator. And that was my only offence.
As soon as i asked, this lady said straight away, she cannot change my room because they are fully booked.
I was in shock, as it was just about the 4pm check in time, and i had lef that desk less than 10 minutes ago, so NO WAY would all the guests booked have come to checked in.
So i asked what she meant by fully booked as there will be unoccupied rooms.
She said ready changed one room and now asking to change again.
Then on a lady behind the other computer, who was the hiuse keeping supervisor budged in to support her colleague. So i asked her what was the no of the room if she said i CHANGED a previous room, she responded "in any case we cannot change your room" so i asked again.
It was just a very unfriendly and almost disrespectful experience for a room i PAID for.
Almost as if i was begging a favour.
These 2 ladies are givng the hotel a bad image and experience.

The rooms were fine and the location was convenient to use the train to anywhere. Parking was confusing, as the hotel tells you it's $30 per day charged to your room, but the lot you park in says max $12 per day to just take a ticket. In the end, we paid nothing to park because the gate wasn't working. Also, I'm pretty sure street parking wasn't checked all weekend. My only other complaint was that the A/C is regulated to shut off intermittently so sleeping was difficult if you are used to white noise. Overall, it's a pretty cool place with a bar, food, pool and games.

Our stay was great! The lobby was clean and cool. My son enjoyed playing skiball and darts in the lobby and the pool was nice! The lobby was a cool little hang out spot with lots of seating, games and a bar. Our room was very nice and clean too. Staff was all very friendly and helpful.

We just needed a place to stay that was close to Barnes. This worked. Room was clean, staff was helpful, did not take time for breakfast. Parking not so great, but then we're not accustomed to city life.
