A Wonderful First Stay — We’ll Definitely Be Back!

This was our first stay at the Hotel Stevenson, and we will definitely be back!
From the moment we arrived, we felt very welcome. The customer service was exceptional, and we especially enjoyed the adjoining wine bar. Ashley was wonderful—she helped us select a lovely red wine and put together a delicious cheese and cracker board, which was the perfect way to start our evening.
Our room was very clean, the bed was incredibly comfortable, and I especially appreciated having a ceiling fan! We were also amazed by how many TV channels were available. We found a great Western movie, settled in, and had a relaxing evening.
The location is excellent, with everything in town within easy walking distance.
Between the friendly service, comfortable room, great location, and the added bonus of the adjoining wine bar, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. A special thank you to Ashley for the wonderful wine recommendation and delicious cheese board. We’re already looking forward to coming back!

An oasis of excellence!
Honestly, I didn't think it was possible for a hotel to get 100% ten-out-of-ten reviews all written by humans. But then we stayed there, and Stevenson Hotel deserves every one of them. It's just exceptional in ways you don't see much any more, down to the last detail. Even the toilet paper is superior quality! The brass fixtures in the room, the home-cooked breakfast, the comfortable mattresses and soft cotton sheets, the elegant bar and lounge, it's all top-notch for a competitive price. No gym/pool/business center etc., no corporate branding, just a small, traditional (but renovated), independent hotel in all the best ways. It feels like your "old money" friend invited you to stay.

Room was very clean and housekeeping was quite communicative. The hotel is gorgeous inside and everything is in mint condition. The lobby area has free plates, forks, maps, and coffee! Very comfortable and warming place!! Property was a two minute walk to the river and the views were amazing!

Basic but very adequate and a good location

This was a fine little hotel with a cafe in the lobby serving a delicious breakfast. (It's not covered in the price, but even if you're not staying there it's a nice place to have breakfast.) It's not luxurious but it does have one luxury, which is a bathroom that has room to put all your stuff. How often do you see that? The room has a small sitting area and a bed with bedside tables on each side. No closet, but a few hooks and some hangers on hooks. It's in a great location, walking distance to a market and pharmacy in one direction, and in the other a park known as Bob's Beach. Not a place you would want to swim, but it's fun to watch the river and surrounding greenery. I saw a spectacular sunset and we enjoyed watching a gaggle of geese there.
