Dated and shop worn.

Overall, the hotel is in severe need of a makeover. The outside of the building is chipped and peeling with what appears to be mold just coloration. The rooms are a two star Quality Inn at best. Did it scuffed up furniture. The beds are saggy and soft. Dated bathrooms, paint touchup needed everywhere. Room temperature, difficult to control. We booked this on a black Friday special so it was reasonable. Indoor pool and hot tub were OK.

The hotel is very average with a not so impressive outdoor pool and nothing else to do on the property. The staff is courteous but the property even charges you extra for a basic s’mores making kit for kids. In short too expensive and not worth the $$$.

Highlights first: Definitely a top notch gym! The same for the views, the spa area, and the concierge. We really enjoyed the pools and it was good to have indoor and outdoor options. The staff and drinks at Flannel were great! Low lights: There needs to be more monitoring of kids’ behavior at the pool because the parents sure didn't set enough boundaries. Enforce no jumping, diving, and hot tubs for unaccompanied kids. The food at the restaurant (the Roost) was pretty mid and the least enjoyable part of our stay. The faucet in the shower/tub screeched like crazy when in shower mode. Overall: we’ll be back.

It’s been a few years since we have stayed at TopNotch. It’s less ‘TopNotch’ and in need of updating and significant renovation. Staff were super helpful and considerate - glad to see that that has not changed!
