A real find!
I need to remember all my superlatives. First the hosts were marvelous: very welcoming, very concerned about personal preferences and the like. Very helpful. The home itself is very large and the rooms that we saw during our tour were all inviting and appealing. Ours was actually a suite with a living room, bedroom, outside terrace and bathroom. We wished our plans would have allowed us to stay longer. The public areas are also appealing and very comfortable. My wife and I would recommend this place enthusiastically!

The most LUXURIOUS hotel/bnb in Tacoma
Wonderfully quaint but luxurious bed and breakfast in a quiet yet convenient neighborhood in Tacoma, WA.
There’s not many good hotel choices in Tacoma, so we decided to check out The Villa Bed and Breakfast. It was wonderful. The inn hosts (husband and wife) are both pleasant folks to chat with. We got a full tour of the building including its historical context. We got to go into every guest room (since they were vacant when we checked in) to learn more about the rooms and appreciate the layout and decor.
The Sorrento room is well worth the extra money per night vs the cheaper rooms. It’s large with separate living, dining, bed, and bathrooms. It’s calming (green color scheme with lots of plants). It has a private veranda with a west facing view. The photos attached to this review is of the room. As you can tell, it’s quite nice without being pretentious or outdated. The king sized bed was super comfortable. Firm mattress with pillow top and full pillows.
The hotel is quiet. If you leave the windows open, you get a very nice sea breeze at night and in the morning. Breakfast is included. They take requests but everything is delicious, including the famous fruit bowl!

A unique and charming place to stay
Staying at the Villa was a fun experience.older couple who own it. They loved sharing the history of the mansion. We had the top floor which was the maids quarters. From that floor you has a fantastic view of the Puget sound and when the sun was setting,what a treat,it was stunning. There was no AC but the evenings cool down and leaving the windows open we were fine. Also no elevator but the gentleman of the house carried the suitcase up 3 flights of stairs. Breakfast was served in the garden room which was very relaxing with all of their flowers and plants. The house was located in an area that was very convenient to getting around especially to the waterfront. It was a very charming place to stay and the couple were delightful.

Amazing stay!
We have stayed at The Villa twice and each time we had a wonderful experience. Toni and Martin go above and beyond to ensure we had an amazing stay, from giving a tour of the beautiful home and grounds, providing gorgeous rooms and luxurious linens, and accommodating dietary needs for a delicious breakfast.
The rooms are quiet and the views from the second floor are good. Highly recommend.

A wonderful stay at the Villa
I had the most wonderful visit at the Villa -- and I look forward to a return visit. Toni and Martin are gracious and friendly hosts who gave me lots of helpful information about what to see and where to go as well as restaurant recommendations. They made me feel comfortable and welcome from the moment I arrived and throughout my stay. My room was cozy with lovely bedding, a comfortable bed and spacious bathroom. Toni had time for a quick tour of some of the other rooms and they are also well-appointed and so inviting -- as are the dining and living rooms. Patios in different parts of the house have beautiful views and are great for outdoor eating and relaxation. The gardens are gorgeous. And Toni's homemade breakfasts are delicious and ample. Finally, the Stadium neighborhood is beautiful and within walking distance of Ruston Way, a lovely supermarket, shops and restaurants. I highly recommend a stay with Toni and Marin at the Villa Bed and Breakfast!
