Walla Walla getaway
Hampton Inn Walla Walla was a great home base for our girls’ wine weekend. The hotel is clean, comfortable, and easy to get in and out of between tastings. Staff were welcoming, breakfast was solid, and the rooms were quiet after a full day out. It’s close to wineries and downtown, making it super convenient for a quick, relaxing getaway. EXCELLENT outdoor hot tub that was great for unwinding in the evening. They also had an outdoor pool that is open seasonally.
Would definitely stay again for another trip.

This was a bit disappointing. Hampton inns are usually so consistently good, but there were a few issues. First off, it took 20 minutes to get any warm water in the shower. And then once it did get warm it never got hot enough. The bed was hard and had big divots in it. The TV only had live broadcast TV. No option for any streaming service. The ceiling in the bathroom had a lot of moisture damage and looked pretty dingy. One of the front desks people, I think his name was Gabe was fantastic. The other two people seemed miserable to be there. They weren't rude but just very unenthused and not necessarily friendly. Breakfast was great and had a good variety. It just seemed like this Hampton had not been cared for or updated the way most of them have

The outdoor pool and hot tub were lovely! Nice breakfast as well. We enjoyed our stay and plan to return!

Pool was a disaster- not well kept, dirty towels strewn about and no clean towels anywhere
Ice machine on 3rd floor - our floor our entire stay, had to go to other floors for ice and wait in line.
Breakfast was a challenge as the staff was clearly challenged and most items were out with guests waiting for fresh food to be delivered.
The coffee pots in the lobby were either empty or cold, always new coffee was 10 minutes away,
I understand that staffing issues are difficult- however if you pay asking price for a room then you should get all the amenities.

TERRIBLE customer service
Well, we never actually stayed here due to the TERRIBLE reception at the front desk by Odalys.
We attempted to check in early by 2 hours. Odalys was quick to say check in was at
4pm and would call if the room became available earlier. I asked if we could upgrade to an available room and without checking her computer, Odalys said that wasn’t an option.
I then asked if we could use the pool prior to the room being ready because it was 90+ outside and we were traveling with our child and she again said they couldn’t do that due to liability.
Which, 5 nights prior, we stayed at a Hilton hotel in Portland that checked us in early AND said we could use the pool even if the room wasn’t ready.
My husband ended up going back inside and got the room refunded by the other front desk person Dylan, all while Odalys had Massive attitude and ZERO customer service abilities.
We ended up at another nearby hotel with MUCH BETTER front desk customer service. Odalys also stated that they didn’t have availability due to a local wildfire. I asked the front desk at La Quinta if they also had limited availability due to the wildfires and he said most people had already gone back home and was even able to upgrade our room.
In the end, customer service speaks VOLUMES to me, and as long as Odalys works at this hotel, I would choose any other hotel nearby.
