Best DC hotel! 5 Stars!
Hotel Hive was an absolutely fabulous place to stay. We’ve stayed in several different hotels visiting Washington DC over the past couple years and this has by far been the best experience. Love the concept of the micro hotel and the bee theme throughout the hotel! Rooms are big enough for anything you might need and are within walking distance of many tourist attractions and is located in a great location across from George Washington University. Extra commodities, like ironing board are available upon request and coffee is always available in the restaurant downstairs. (We traveled as a family of three as a parent with an adult child and partner, and we were able to get two rooms for the price of a larger room elsewhere!) A great addition to this hotel is the restaurant &pizza! Pizzas were delicious as well as the extra sweet treats you could buy. Rental bikes/scooters are also available nearby.

Very comfortable stay.
Friendly and professional staff. Kudos to the bar staff, they work very hard and maintain a professional friendliness. Clean rooms and hotel. The breakfast was outstanding!

Cozy stay for the National Book Festival
It’s always a pleasant experience at Hotel Hive. We have stayed several times and the rooms are always clean and comfortable. The location is great not far at all from the metro and the staff always go above and beyond. 5/5

Great experience
I stayed at the hotel for 2 nights, felt safe and comfortable. I had twin buzz room and I liked the design and how everything was so clean and white. Even though it is a micro-room, it didn't feel cramped at all—it was very cozy, comfortable and had everything I needed.
The security deposit was only $50 per night ($100 total for my two nights), and it was fully refunded to my account just a few days after I returned home, which I really appreciated. I also highly valued that they allowed me to check in early since my room was already clean and ready.
I had the pleasure of speaking with three different people at the front desk during my stay, and every single one of them was absolutely lovely! They were so kind, attentive, and helpful. They listened to everything I had to say with genuine care and went completely out of their way to accommodate me. I felt so cared for as a guest.

GWU FAMILY ******
Location, Atmosphere and SERVICE is always why we stay at the hive . Yes, the rooms are small but always clean . The a/c is excellent. The bar is just what we need after a long day .
Our child is a GW student so this will be our place in DC for the next few years .
