Older building that has been nicely restored and updated affording a clean, quiet and comfortable room
Rooftop pool was very nice on a hot summer weekend
Valet parking was convenient but a bit pricey at $60 per day
Staff was welcoming and helpful
Overall a great stay in DC

Our room had no AC during 4th of July weekend. They knew it before sending us and all other customers to their oven rooms. It took several calls and little to no responses to get us out of Hells Kitchen. The staff was tight lipped about the AC and even witnessed them telling customers that they just got to work and was unaware of the situation. A blatant lie.
Decor was nice boutique hotel. Good location. Roof bar was a zoo literally. Over maxed with people basically doing whatever they wanted with kids around. Bar staff was unenthusiastic and lacked any attempt to better the situation. The lobby had metal detectors at night since the rooftop turned into a rap hip hop festival - lots of non hotel people allowed to roam the elevators.
Finally was transferred to Hotel Zena where staff was much better but they too had similar roof top activities. Unsafe is best way to describe it.
Rooms were well kept modern and decent. The environment left a lot to be desired.

I wanted to love this hotel. The staff that welcome are amazing and the lobby were lovely! The hotel has a vibe you just want to get more connected with. The art was incredible too, but then there was the room...it was dark...like way too dark. The vibe needs an update in the hallways of the rooms to match the the first floor. Felt like two different spaces. The bed was comfortable, but the room felt dated. Then you could hear everything. Yes, everything! I was there for work, and I get how couples can find this place fun, I just do not need to hear how fun it is. The restaurant downstairs was also great. The drinks, the food,the picture worthy patio...amazing...just like the staff. Just the room was not the same.

Our room was never cleaned the first full day we were there. When we complained they came back at night.

The hvac didn’t work
The key card for the lights didn’t work and didn’t stay on.
The couch had a huge stain on it and looked very very dirty.
My car had drips and stains on it.
The tip for the valet through the app did not go to the valet. I had to tip twice .
