A night of bliss

Spent 1 night here. It was amazing. Super smart. Great view. Super quiet hidden location a 10 min tuk tuk from town. Super service and delicious brekky.

Highly recommended; wonderful time in Ella for a family

I LOVED this little place. We were far enough away from the main road to be quiet and peaceful; beautiful view from our windows. However, it was maybe a 5-10 minute tuk tuk ride to the city center for a very low fee; the cottage has a tuk tuk on site, so I just asked for a ride and they took us whenever we needed. All the staff was very kind and warm, trying to help in every way. I loved the family room; there was an upper level with room for two kids and a large bed on the ground level. They had a fridge, fans/mosquito nets, etc. Very comfortable amenities. They seem to be adding some more cottages. Also, I noticed that they are adding air conditioning tot he units, so I think they might have that now/soon. But I will say, we were fine with the fans and the temperature was very comfortable. The breakfast was amazing. We had some fruit, yoghurt, toast, coffee, pancakes or some treat, and often eggs cooked to order. One note is that if you are paying in cash, try to bring money that is in good condition. (I notice sometimes bills have writing or are badly wrinkled, and I think the bank here is a bit fussy about what they accept, so it is better if you can plan ahead. Having said that, there are also ATMs in the city, so it really should not be an issue.) I really appreciate all the efforts to make the stay comfortable and special.

Hotel mediocre

I had read the glowing comments!!! We had a completely different experience. I found only two positives: a good bed, a good breakfast. For the rest.... The deluxe room only has name. The bungalow has a scenic view of the road, you can hear all the noises. Dogs bark all night (running in Sri Lanka but here it is the pompom) and top it off: the inauguration of a new structure next door don music and noise until 4 am. So I understand the breakfast tables in the hallway, no trace of restaurant.... If we were in transit, we had to call to cancel, we would certainly have found better. Last point the wifi does not work!
