Literally a Box in the Clouds

This is a fantastic location up on a hill. There are 3 containers converted in to rooms with all the facilities. The one we were staying had a rooftop chillout area, where we had breakfast & dinner. As the night falls the mist comes through and you are literally in the clouds.
The host is very friendly. All meals are cooked on site and vegetables are fresh off the local gardens. The only downside, this is a bit away from the Ella junction, but not that far from the Nine arch bridge turn off (2 km to turnoff). If you like a quiet place to chill, this is ideal.

Aging concept.

The property is a few kilometres from Ella. Access to the hotel has a very steep slope, a criterion not mentioned in the property description, but which must be taken into account according to the physical capabilities of the guests.
The photographs available on the internet mainly show the panoramic aspects of the place, which is a definite advantage.
Apart from this, however, the initial concept appears somewhat aging.
The container at our disposal, including a sleeping area and a small bathroom, left something to be desired regarding its state of cleanliness. The walls, which were originally white, show a lack of maintenance and would require a refreshment. The furniture, of a very precarious quality, would benefit from renewal.
While the hotel’s main advantage lies in its panoramic view, its current state and without renovations, it does not fully justify the price charged. Overall, the value for money appears to be high.
In addition, a 10% surcharge is applied to payments made by credit card.

Great memory !

We had an excellent stay in this corner of paradise in the middle of the tea plantations. The hosts were very welcoming and helpful. We took a walk together. Waking up with a view of the mountain is magical and the breakfast is very good!

Dreamy experience

The room was very cosy and superb. The view was amazing and just like on midst of clouds! It was a dreamy experience and really worth the money! The staff was so responsive and kind! Will surely recommend for any couple!
