Nice place to stay

Nice place to stay, really clean rooms, extra blanket. They have really friendly and nice staff always smiling and the view from terrace is wonderfull. Close to all points of interests- Ella rocks, Little Adam's peak

Legalized scam

Arrived at the property we were informed that we no longer have one of the 2 rooms we had booked available. The reason was that a sick guest had stayed for days longer.
They then "offered" us a family room but asking for more money than the booking. We have proposed alternative solutions (first pay the same original price or include at least breakfast). None of these options were accepted.
We were forced to sleep all 3 in the family room because while we were discussing with the owner (or his collaborator) a room we were supposed to occupy was given to another guest.
During check out the owner tried to raise the price compared to what was agreed. He also informed the booking site that we had not shown up, so he tried to charge us the cancellation fee.
We don't really have words, we could give this facility zero.

Green Hill came in as a rude shock to me when I checked in. The boards everywhere just mentioned 50m. The van driver refused to go in saying that the approach to the place was too risky for a big vehicle. The excitement of living in proper ella town died soon after the van entered the turn on the road towards Green Hill. Very narrow and rough lane and pretty much in the intreior. More surprise was in store when i saw that a floor was being constructed. The 3 rooms that we had booked werent in line. One had to walk big rocky uneven steps down one floor to reach the rooms. Rooms and the bathroom were nice with hot water in the day time and the views astonishing but there is no premium leave alone luxury feel to the whole place.
The kitchen was located upstairs and pacing up and down everytime was a big put off. Very limited menu options as the kitchen was partially functioning due to the construction work. Certainly not a place for Indian food or something even close to it. We had a tough time trying to get something for the kids. Once cannot even think of going to the market to fetch anything as its way beyond approachable. Breakfast is meagre , breads and accompaniments. There was Thosai Sambhar one day but tht was it.
The staff , Prasanna and Co were good and heeded to our requests. It wasnt easy managing needs of 6 kids.Appreciate that but still its not a livable place if you want to stay close to the happening places and be able to walk around.Theres no garden. The only place available are the huge common balconies and nothing else.

New Room Ok Owner Not

Did not like this owner, was a liar and was not forthcoming with any room supplies had to keep nagging her. Room at that price should have been ready with towels etc. View amazing. Rain precluded all hiking. Owner gave us erroneous info to manipulate us to stay longer.

чудесный городок

Отель нам нужен был на ночевку, поскольку собирались все время обойти все окрестности. Претензий нет, возможно потому как нас селили ланкийские проводники. им было легче договариваться друг с другом. С ними же оговорили трансфер
