Hotel was excellent. Tucked away in nature looking over the lagoon and a 5 min walk away from a quiet beach. The staff were lovely and very attentive. Room was clean and very large with a balcony looking out over the pool. Breakfast was tasty and the restaurant served a great dinner. The beach has turtles nesting and hatching at night time. Would come back!

We had a great 1 night stay here. Excellent location on the lagoon, near the beach and restaurants/ bars nearby. Small resort which looks lovely on the outside. The rooms and balconies are huge and very quiet. The host was very friendly and helped arrange a transfer to Colombo airport the following day. He was very responsive via text and happy to help with anything. The breakfast was also very nice. Excellent value for money!

This was one of our favorite places during our trip to Sri Lanka. The rooms are huge, very clean and everything seems really new.
The owner is very nice and helpful and the breakfast is great with a great view of the lagoon. If you like birds we saw both eagles and peacocks during our stay here.
You are around a 5 min walk from the beach and besides the restaurant on the property there are some good restaurants around.

Very relaxing and nice place

We had a great stay here. It's a very relaxing place to calm down and enjoy the beautiful nature. You can go with kajak on the lagoon or enjoy the nature direct from your balcony. The beach is very close by and you are most time on your own.
During the good breakfast you can watch many birds like parrots, eagles, kingfisher and peacocks.
The amazing big room is very clean, with hot water and AC.
Stuff is very nice and helpful. The dogs around are friendly and funny.
Direct next to the resort is a real good restaurant for dinner.
We can highly recommend Ashansa Lagoon Resort and looking forward to join this relaxing place again!

Very quiet,relaxing and tasty foods

· ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING! We arrived and it was so quiet and peaceful. Room was truly exceptional. It was so big and SOOO clean! Very modern looking room and the shower had great pressure and warm water. Bed was very comfy and the AC cooled the room perfectly for us. The breakfast was lovely and you have such a great view of the lagoon while eating your breakfast. I can't speak highly enough about the staff there. The staff were quiet, but they were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout. They offered advise on the best places to go and even offered us a chance to go on a kayak on the lagoon for free. They also sorted our transport to our next destination. The location is a little hidden gem. It feels like a location that will become a major tourist spot in years to come, but as of yet has not been discovered. It's SO quiet and the beach was COMPLETELY EMPTY! This hotel and this location will undoubtedly be more expensive in the future as it gains popularity. However, with it being so new, the prices they are currently offering are an absolute steal and I would recommend anyone to get here quick!
