Good budget accommodation

It’s difficult to grade this place. It provides basic accommodation and you couldn’t ask for much more for the price. The family who run it are delightful and can’t do enough to help. As many have said the views over the tea plantations are delightful. Their food is probably better than anywhere in the town. It is easy to get to from the station - cheap tuk-tuk or a 15 walk along the railway track!
TIP Visit the Kelliebedde Tea Factory, it’s fascinating, then have tea and cake in their cafe.

Very Good

Very good home stay accommodation with ensuite bathrooms. Young lady who runs the place very friendly and helpful. Excellent Sri Lankan dinner and choice of western breakfasts. Well priced. Recommend to anyone

Best place to have tea or coffee

We had stop there for a coffee , warm up for cold weather here. wonderful hospitality & frendly! They have Italian all range of coffee very nice with chocolate biscuits
We also see room are clean , its near to Adisham Bungalow. We might consider to stay there next time .

Pleasant guest house in the "Misty City" of Haputale

This guest house is run by a lovely young couple who are very kind, courteous and helpful. The lady, Seewanthie, cooked me a very tasty dinner at short notice. The views from the guest house are fantastic and ever-changing because of the continuous rolling mists that sweep across the landscape. The weather was cool, clean and wonderful. The room too was clean and comfortable.

Very nice hotel with a great hospitality of the owner and his family

This is a really ideal place if you stay in Haputale. The hotel located less than 1Km from the main city of Haputale. The hotel has a fantastic view of the mountains and the rail road.I am pretty sure it would be a pleasant view in the morning with the mist of the cold weather. My room and the bathroom were cleaned well, and had a great hot water that is must in Haputale. The owner and his family gave me a great hospitality and definitely their little kid will make more happy on you too. The hotel has a good car park which is most of the hotels in Haputale do not have. The hotel has small restaurant that can get homemade food. The owner will arrange a transport if you need to go Lipton seat. If you travel by your own car, I recommend you to go to Lipton seat by hired van specially for the busy days in Haputale as I did. The road condition is not so good for a car and the road is so narrow. Its better to go there with a local driver who has good experience on driving to Lipton seat. So finally I am so happy everything during my staying at the hotel and highly recommend this lovely hotel!!!
