Perfect for us! Nothing left to be desired

Perfect accommodation! On the other side of the lake, a little away from the hustle and bustle, idyllic and quiet. The rooms were very clean, incredibly great breakfast included and incredibly friendly staff. We had room 7, which was the quietest. We also sat together in the evenings with the boss and his friends. Extremely nice. By tuk-tuk it costs around 200 Rp (300=1€) to get to the city center. Or on foot in 15-20 minutes along the lake.

The worst !

One of our worst experience in travel!!
During one of our day out to explore Kandy, someone came into our room and stole from us 600€!!!
We directly informed the manager, he pretended to understand us and to help us before our departure but nothing happened!
We decided to go to police station to file a complaint!
The owner didn’t help the police and he didn’t tell the police the same things than us!
He wasn’t even here for our check out!! He didn’t even answer to our phone call!!
Such a bad person !
Don’t loose your time or money here, he stole us 600€!!

Huge recommendation

We had a great time in the hotel. The hotel owner is a very nice, helpful and approachable guy.
We received lots of helpful tips and our requests were always taken into account. The hotel was clean and the rooms were fully equipped.
The location of the hotel was also good, so you can get to the center of Kandy quickly and cheaply.
Our highlight was definitely New Year's Eve, because the hotel owner invited us to a great dinner with karaoke and drinks in the hotel. He prepared the dinner himself and it was delicious. Our favorite dishes, which he had picked up in conversation beforehand, were served.

Bad manner of the Manager

The water of the shower wasn't hot and we informed the staff and he checked it and then called the manager to fix it but he couldn't. After half an hour the manager came. He had fix it before he had arrived to our room. He didn't take off his dirty shoes !! He made us fool and said you didn't use faucet properly but it wasn't the case.
The remote control of air conditioner was hard to work.
The refrigerator wasn't cool enough.
They also forgt to put towels in our room.

I would not recommend

There was a bad smell coming from the bathroom. Owner seemed to be in a bad mood when checking out. At checkout the price was 26% percent higher then expected due to taxes and service charge, this was the first time I experienced this much extra charge in Sri Lanka.
