Beautiful garden with private pool

Gorgeous place that has been lovingly restored, surrounded by a beautiful garden with private pool full of birds and the occasional monkey.
Piyal (the caretaker) and Dona prepared a wonderful dinner and breakfast for us and were incredibly lovely throughout our stay. Janaka and Gayan were readily available to answer any and all questions we had. Overall a unique and truly wonderful stay.

Excellent villa with privacy

I got this Villa to spend time with my relatives. The photos do not do this home justice! It sits on a beautifully kept lot that is super safe and privacy. We booked all 4 bedrooms (with king beds) that came with attached full bathrooms. The house was very spacious inside, The photos don’t do the house justice, it is luxurious and huge. The pool and area is sublime and the views of the mountains spectacular! The property is stunning, surrounded by lush greenery with breathtaking views. Cleanliness was top-notch, with the entire place spotless and well-maintained. The staff were incredibly hospitable and attentive, ensuring all our needs were met promptly. property provided an unforgettable experience, and I highly recommend it for a perfect getaway in Kandy

Do not stay here - it is is filthy and poorly maintained

Just look at the photos - The cleanliness of this villa was disgusting. The cutlery and crockery had all been left out on a table as the kitchen cupboards were so dirty. The fridge and kitchen were filthy. The bathrooms were all filthy with ants everywhere, droppings and spiders webs - one sink fell off the wall and the fittings are all rusty. The air conditioning units did not work properly in any bedroom and temperature or fan could not be controlled.
We had booked 3 nights here with breakfast and dinner on 2. - the first dinner was so bad we cancelled the other one. It was a delivery from a takeaway
We didn’t really want to even eat breakfast as the kitchen hygiene was so poor.
The host who met us was lovely and he had been sent there for the 3 days for our stay and he reported the state of the cleanliness to his company as he too said it was awful
The outside of the villa and the garden was well maintained and looked lovely but the pool was poorly maintained and two of my sons cut their legs on the broken tiles.
We reported the problems early on to the company and sent photos yet nothing changed.
They had also changed our deal and suggested we cancel our booking arrangement to deal with them directly ( as they threw in the dinners) for cash up front which we thought was a good thing until we got into the villa
This villa stay was in the middle of our stay in Sri Lanka and 2 of us walked away with colds due to the air conditioning problems but I’m surprised we didn’t get more illness because of the poor hygiene.
The owners should be ashamed and booking.com and others should take this off their sites until they have spent vs some money on the maintenance and cleaning.
We got a refund back for one dinner and when we asked for some refund due to the poor state of the villa we were told “ the big bosses are out on holidays so you have to send and email to them and when they have the next Board meeting they would discuss our request!!!

Best villa in kandy

If you are reading this review - go ahead and book this place, it's better than the description and photos - it's an idyllic sanctuary. Furthermore, the food is incredible Had a great couple of days staying at Lavorna Villa. The villa was perfect for everything we needed. It has lovely grounds with lots of birds, lizards and frogs. The pool is lovely and is kept very clean. Would definitely recommend.

Sl holidays

Stayed for two nights friendly staff great swimming pool with a beautiful garden. Spend the 2days very relaxed and comfortable clean and big rooms laundry was available good WiFi everything we were looking was there for a very reasonable price.
