The "Peaceful Hideaway"

Tropical paradise with stunning garden and ocean views
This place is an absolute gem! The garden is absolutely beautiful and overlooks the stunning bay – you can even spot peacocks wandering around! It's perfectly located at the quiet end of Hiriketiya Bay, close enough to the beach (just a 2-minute walk) but far enough from the noisy parties to guarantee a peaceful night's sleep.
The rooms are spacious, spotlessly clean, and offer great value for money. We had a family room with a terrace and a lovely view of the sea. The beds were super comfortable with excellent mosquito nets. No need for AC – the construction keeps the room naturally fresh and cool.
Shan is a fantastic host – incredibly helpful and arranged everything we needed. Highly recommended for anyone wanting a relaxing escape close to the waves!

Disappointed

Bit disappointing, we paid for the deluxe double room but ended up with the budget room because the people staying in our room booked an extra night even though we booked 2 days in advanced, which isn’t our problem. They did offer us to move into another room free of charge after much time of us asking to change, however we ended up with a refund as the mood had changed entirely after the encounter. When we first arrived there was laundry all on our bed, the bed felt wet, and the roof was open which wasn’t in the picture of the double delux. The guy that offered the refund was nice however.

The "Peaceful Garden Escape"

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Beautiful garden, ocean views, and pure tranquility
This place is just lovely! The beautiful green garden, where you can have breakfast and dinner, overlooks the surf spot in Hiriketiya. You can hear the sea from your room, and it's just a 2-minute walk down to the main beach area.
The rooms are spotless, the WiFi is good, and the location is perfect at the quiet end of the bay, close to Peter's Place restaurant, but away from the noisy parties. The owner Shan is amazing and truly cares about his guests. Highly recommend! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Great place to stay in Hiriketiya

Great place to stay in Hiriketiya. Location is perfect. The service from Shan the owner and all of the staff was excellent. He helped us out when one of us got injured. Accommodation was clean and catered for everything we needed. The Air Con was so good. They cooked us a traditional Sri Lankan meal which was one of the best we had on the trip. This is somewhere I would come back to without a second thought. 10/10

Cost too high for a very basic room

Location was good. Close walk to the beach. We asked to stay in the family room so that we were on the beachside with a view. These rooms were spacious and had a lovely terrace. Also the standard room was so small, we were stepping on each other and our luggage every step we took.
However, it is not worth the 10,000 rupees per night. There is no AC, no toiletries provided, cold water showers and no fridge. The bathroom was revolting - barely any light, everything was dirty and water came out onto the floor when the toilet was flushed or the bathroom tap turned on. There was a gap at the top of the bathroom wall adjoining onto next doors bathroom. I could hear everything. A window that couldn’t be closed and many mosquitos in the room. Mosquito nets around bed dirty and full of holes. Ants in the bed and I got bitten multiple times!! When we approached the manager he shrugged his shoulders and said ok before walking away.
We checked out after one night and moved to a different hotel. During check out the manager just took our money and walked away without saying thank you or goodbye
