Perfect stop for near the airport.

Stayed here for 1 night before travelling to Nuwara Eliya. Checked in at 5 am and was kindly greeted by the owner. Had separate rooms from the kids which was good. Breakfast was nice. Family who own it are lovely and I have no negatives for it. Perfect place to stay near the airport.

Good place. Near airport

Stayed 2 nights in March 2021. Place was very clean and comfortable. Owners (who live next door) are vey friendly and considerate. Tea facilities, fridge, crockery and microwave were available. Good value for money.

Nice place

Quiet place and nice family! The breakfast is not very good (without fruit). The room is comfortable and clean. Is necessary to take a tuktuk to go to the city. Good place for the first night of the trip.

Great home stay which is close to the airport

Great home stay for short period if heading of or arriving at Colombo airport. The owner is super friendly and caring and even gave me a lift to my early morning flight. The city and beach is just a short taxi ride away.

Perfect for stopover at night after arrival into colombo airport

What I liked:
The hostess: I had booked a train ticket through 12goasia.com and they could deliver my ticket to an address in Sri Lanka provided I had one. I checked with the hostess over WhatsApp and she was quick and helpful, and kindly consented to receive the envelope. When she received it, she confirmed and upon my arrival in Bivora Villa, promptly handed it over to me. It was immensely beneficial to me to be able to interact with a single individual throughout on this, and someone who understood what it meant for me and gave the matter sufficient care.
2. The place and hospitality: I reached close to midnight from airport- the place is less than 15-20 min drive and was easy to find. The host's family lives a building away and Bivora Villa is only meant for guests. There are 5-6 rooms in the beautiful bungalow. The living room is a common area. The toilet and bath was clean, adequate water pressure. The hosts (the lady and her husband) were very polite and hospitable. They communicate very well in English. It felt very safe throughout, and for me as a solo female traveler it was an important factor.
3. There is nothing much to do in the area and for me it was a stopover from airport before heading to my next destination. I spent only a night there and left first thing the next morning, but if I had a chance, would have loved to stay longer as the bungalow with the garden would have made for a nice and relaxing stay.
