Worth an experience
This hotel is Sri Lanka 2.0
Everything is different - cold, foggy, sunny, mega windy.
The staff was so, so friendly - and they cooked their best. The best was kottu, chicken curry, and 10 out of 10: the water buffalo curd with honey!

In need of refurbishment and TLC
This hotel could be so beautiful, it has potential to be a charming place. However as it stands it really is anything but charming. I checked into my room, instantly hit with the smell of mould (well ventilated places in the area do not smell like this), it was dirty, the bedding old and lumpy, and overall extremely run down. I immediately booked myself into somewhere else nearby and left the property (I’ve never done this across 36 countries).
Once leaving I did speak with a manager who asked me to cancel my new hotel reservation, as I assume he was going to try and resolve my problem and maybe change the room, but the damage was already done. I’ve never felt so uncomfortable in a hotel before this stay.
The room I had booked was a superior king with courtyard view. Which looked lovely on the photos.

Care and Hospitality
We are from India and we had planned to stay at Tea Bush hotel in Nuwara Eliya for a couple of days.
Unfortunately we got stranded in Nuwara Eliya due to cyclone Ditwah and we were unable to move out of the town to catch the flight due to road closures as connectivity was cut off for few days. There was no network coverage / internet available to the whole town.
In that hard time, the Hotel management especially Chamila Sir and Sumith sir took great care of us to ensure we are safe during the cyclone. There was no mobile connectivity as well to convey that we are safe. Once we got to know that we were going to get stuck, they asked to stay until the conditions are back to normal.
The Hotel manager, especially used to go and check with police every day early morning, to know the status of the roads and update us. We were finally able to reach Colombo after 3 more days extended stay in hotel.
The Hotel management didn't charge us even a single rupee on food and room for the extra days we spent. Even though we insisted a lot, they simply said it is their duty to take care in these times.
Basic food is a bare necessity and it is more than enough in the hard times, but they even paid so much attention to that as well. Even when we left to Colombo they packed lunch for us so that we don't need to stop in between to waste time and reach there as early as possible.
Not all heroes in the world wear capes, and you both are proof of that. We are thankful to be taken care like this in the hotel.
Needless to say, the rooms are good, washrooms are clean, food was also good.
Special thanks to Nuwan as well, for communicating to our family that we were safe. Thank you so much Tea Bush hotel.

Value for Money & Service Excellence
Wonderful and very convenient to access close by the town. Calm n quite place without much disturbance hvng the advantage of the last property at the end of the road. Colonial place and it really adding a value. Nicely maintaining garden with ample car parking space.
The most important thing is caring staff. Starting from reservation Bihindu first contact person but professional. Ajith , property manager , eye for details and proactive . Will try to fix the matter n make u enjoy n confrable. Also rest all f&b and kitchen staff. Super food n dining place with a beautiful scenary .
Cleanliness room (with a colonial touch) and really a value for money. Very close to town . Ideal Hot water fluctuation. Driver accomadation n food on comp basis. Very flexible team . (Only concern n recommend to replace the TVs with LCD's)
