Magic place!

Just wonderful. So close to the crashing waves .An unbeatable view. Travel the world you won't find a better hotel view. . Comfortable beds plenty of hot water. We had two fans which worked well. Breakfasts were great and evening meals good also. Salt water pool was a plus. . We didn't find the unmade road a problem. Our taxi and tuk tuks managed fine. It's an eight minute walk to the beach but not hard. We had four relaxing days. Will hope to return.
Of course if it had air con this would be perfect but it's pretty damn good anyway.

Support in the crisis – this is real hospitality!

I rarely write reviews, but this one is especially close to my heart! First of all: I can massage all five star reviews, just nod off, the Villa LuckiyStar is a very special soul place for me, the location on the cliff above the sea, the beautiful, enchanted garden, the places to eat, relax, and all that has already been mentioned in the reviews.
My very special experience: I am stranded here, my involuntary extension in paradise by the situation in the Gulf War. My return flight was cancelled and I needed a place to stay for the days until my new return flight. The super expensive design – Ayurveda resort I was in before, just made me an outrageous offer... Quite the opposite. Ursula and Lisa from Villa Lucky Star... and despite many of their own worries that the situation has meant for them, they conjured up for me the opportunity to be able to stay, help me organize some magical excursions, the mangrove tour in the inbuilt was magical...
up to the possibility to take a shower in another guest room before my departure, I simply learned: here are people with heart and warmth who do not have the profit in their head, but are real hostesses!

Expected to be better : price versus what we received

Room : basic, clean, no ac

Lovely setting makes the place

It’s got a lot of old fashioned charm. Plenty of outside seating areas around the garden for meals or just to sit. The pool is very nice, overlooking the sea. Our room was fine, but felt a little dated. It was a decent size and had a good balcony. Pity it didn’t have air conditioning. We were looked after very well by everyone and we had some lovely meals there.
There are two beaches within walking distance, one being particularly close. The last few hundred metres of the access road are really rough - one of our drivers refused to drive all the way up to the villa.

Our stay at Villa Lucky Star, Tangalle

The Villa Lucky Star is a very nice, well maintained complex with a great view of the sea. Our room was very well maintained with a nice terrace.
Dinner can be pre-ordered. We sat at the same table with other guests as well as with Ursula and Lisa. They were two very cozy evenings.
We would definitely come back. The staff is very helpful and helpful.
