Great nature and good atmosphere

Nice place with good facilities, beautiful nature and rich birdlife (somewhat noisy in the morning. Early). There might well be a little update on the maintenance now as it is a 4-star space, but that is not the essential.
Cute people and well chosen in store and ice bar. Great location.

Rogue camping, don't go there

The wife booked by phone cottage already in April and clearly explained that she needs a handicap accessible cottage when she is in a wheelchair, and the person at the campsite said she would get it. the booking was paid for, but when we arrived there late at night after the reception was closed it was shown that the cottage was up on a hill with 13 steps up. in addition, it was not possible to enter the toilet in the cottage for disabled person. it all ended up with us sleeping in the car instead. the day after we had to talk to the owner of the campsite and explained it all. they would look at the booking and return. they never contacted us and no kind of compensation was given either. Very frivolous of a campsite if they want customers to behave this way. we will never return or recommend this campsite to anyone as it is one of the most frivolous campsites we have ever visited.

Positive surprise

It was a big surprise for us. Not only the uniquely beautiful location of the campsite, but the overall ambience, cleanliness and friendliness of the staff impressed us very much. The owners make every effort to ensure guests a carefree stay. Even the young employee who was entrusted with cleaning tasks asked us about our satisfaction and open wishes. The owners welcomed us personally and accompanied us on our departure to the camper. I've never experienced anything like this before and I'd love to come back. Here you want to go on holiday!

Is this Sweden's noisiest camp site?

This is the worst campsite I have ever stayed at - SOOOOO noisy, super loud live music from 10 PM -01 AM in the morning (am not exaggerating here). This was a complete nightmare! I am all for summer fun and lively nights, but 01 AM is really taking it too far on a camp site full of families and people like myself who just want to get a good night's sleep following an active day, with the plan to move on early the next day.

Best camping in Kalmar!

Autumn season with caravan at this incredibly nice campsite with a beautiful location. Clean, tidy and a great staff.
Leafy places, nice sandy beach, popular playground, full service in the ice cream shop, good restaurant!
Lots to do in Bergkvara and throughout Kalmar. We will return, already booked the autumn season for 2025!
