Clean room and nice breakfast. Shared bathroom was fine. We only stayed for 1 night but would return. If you want somewhere with all the luxuries this is not the place, but if you want somewhere clean, warm and welcoming for a reasonable price then I highly recommend this place.

Simple guesthouse

A simple guesthouse centrally located in Gällivare. Large room but toilet and shower in corridor. Usually unmanned, you have to call on arrival. Breakfast ok. Free parking. The property in need of renovation. Damage here and there. Not exactly affordable.

Only advisable in an emergency.

At this establishment you can study excellently how capitalism works.
There are only a limited number of accommodation options in the village. The Grand Hotel directly opposite the train station, where you can eat first-class steaks, by the way, sets the high prices. Overnight stays there cost 200 euros and more per night. The operator of Augustin takes advantage of this. It always remains below the competition in terms of price. We paid 130 euros for one night, but it can be 200 and more.
Equipment details:
Reception unstaffed although check-in should be from 3pm to 5pm. You have to call.
Dirty and creaking staircase.
Toilet in the corridor lined with PVC, as well as the shower.
Room very noisy
Exterior walls in wooden stand construction, compartments with straw mats, overlying plaster, which partially crumbles.
Breakfast loveless, bread wrapped in foil, the guests must unpack themselves. Once everything is unpacked, the operator comes and wraps it up again. What are you doing?
No rolls, not to mention scrambled eggs and salmon.
Small bright spots: Good internet and there's Nutella.
In the village a few old houses, which are something for architecture enthusiasts and are more of an insider tip. The whole place exudes Eastern bloc charm with slab buildings. You think you're in Romania.
Avoid this place with its rip-offs, better stay in Jokkmokk if this is somehow possible. Of the two alleged LEH ICA and Coop could not be found despite an intensive search, the only bright spot is the kiosk at the station, there also good prices and a really nice owner.

Do not hesitate!!!

A simple but comfortable hotel. 300 m from the train station and 500m from the city center and supermarket COOP. We were 4 friends and slept on the top floor. Toilet on the landing. Shower downstairs. Large room and soft bedding (which may not be suitable for everyone). Great availability and kindness of the owner who let us access the living room all day waiting for our overnight train. Sauna and gym in the basement. We highly recommend.

Near Station but shop around: other accommodation is available...

Difficult to get into the place if you don't have a smart phone. No one was there to meet and greet when they said they'd be there. However the Italian lady in charge appeared in the morning and was really charming and very helpful and kind. Breakfast good. Beds too soft and matrasses need replaced. The place needs a good clean eg dust on the stairs. Stairs are steep and it's very difficult to manoeuver heavy luggage up and down them. Room rather warm.
