Lovely week in a cottage by the lake.

Note because we were not on the campsite but had rented a cottage (Ekudden 02) and that was far from the campsite but in a super nice forest, on the lake in a very quiet area. The cottage was fully equipped. In the middle of the forest and with its own rowboat and jetty. The cottage was cozy and the children had a separate sleeping quarters next to the cottage. E.e.a. was a bit dated and could use a refresher. But the location reimburses a lot. Highly recommended to stay. The campsite has a beach and swimming possibilities on the lake. Renting a canoe or boat is also possible. The campsite itself we found a bit messy, but plumbing looked clean. For children definitely a nice place to stay. We thought a week was more than sufficient.
Nearby plenty of walks to do or other things to do.

Great place

Rented a cozy little cottage that was right by the lake and reception, with amazing nature around. My teenage children and I biked around and discovered the surroundings, was at the outdoor gym at Nytorpet, hiked around the lake, paddled (rented kayaks or paddleboard from the campsite), played mini golf, found different bathing spots, played cards, picked blueberries and relaxed. Amazingly lovely place!!
Although the cottage we stayed in was very small (like 12 sqm) it had everything we needed (bunk bed, bed armchair, table with chairs, kitchen with fridge, freezer, microwave, hob, kettle, coffee maker, toaster etc and outside grill o seating), and toilet and shower were close. We would love to come back!

Icy night

My girlfriend and I rented the standard cabin for one night. It was cold outside and the cabin could hardly be heated. There was only one element on the wall in the cabin, and we found two small extras, which did not help very well. We were fully clothed, with two blankets each. There is no door between the bedroom and living room, only a small curtain, so there was not much privacy. Nor when you had to go through the bedroom from the living room to get to the toilet, and the wash basin was at the other end of the cabin. The toilet also had an outer door that had large drilled ventilation holes, which meant that it was freezing cold. We got almost no sleep.
The area looked nice and pretty, but you shouldn't rent out uninsulated cabins until the weather gets warmer!! And it should be stated that guests should not count on privacy even if it says that it is a bedroom and a living room, because it is basically one large room. The relatively low price does not compensate for the discomfort of a freezing cold house, and an interior that is only suitable for close family.

Vi ber så mycket om ursäkt att din upplevelse hos oss inte blev som du hade förväntad dig. Allt du beskriver är helt korrekt. Stugorna är enkla och är inte särskild bra isolerade och när temperaturer blir mot 0 grader, då blir det inte särskild lätt att värma upp de, även med extra element. Det var ovanlig kallt nu senaste nätter, något som vi inte kunde förvänta oss. Vi brukar öppna dessa enklare stugor från och med 15 april, eftersom det blir varmare ute. Men det var som sagt ovanlig kallt.
I övrigt är stugan som du bokade en mer basic stuga och detta beskrevs även tydlig i beskrivningen i din bekräftelse, samt att vi har tydliga bilder och beskrivningen på vår hemsida av varje stuga. Som du skriver är priserna billiga, helt enkelt för att stugorna är basic. Vi har 50 stugor och vi har även en del premium stugor med mer bekvämhet, men jag vet att dessa stugor var alla uthyrda när du bode hos oss.
Allt med allt, blev det en lite olycklig vistelse hos oss. Vi är tacksam att du delade din upplevelse hos oss och eftersom vi gärna vill kunna hälsa välkommen tillbaka dig och ger dig en nu möjlighet att bo hos oss och uppleva våra fina omgivningar, så skickar vi dig ett presentkort på samma belopp som du har betalat för denna bokning. En gång till ber vi dig om ursäkt. Som du ser i övriga recensioner, så är en 1-stjärnig recension väldigt ovanlig för oss. Hoppas det kan bli 5-stjärnor nästa gång :)

Old cottage in a very nice location.

This cottage is very old, but the location is awesome. We stayed for 2 nights, but I felt, one night is enough, due to the house. Price is reasonable.
+ Beautiful location for nature lovers
+ River view
+ Barbecue place
+ Separate shower (Note: other cottages N and S series, share common shower, which is not good for family)
+ Dedicated Boat for use.
- Old cottage
- Kitchen was not good, but manageable
- Little far from the town, in case of any immediate needs like Milk, after reception is closed.
- Internet not included for F series cottages. Prepare to pay extra money to get wifi router.
- Shower water is TOO HOT, be extra careful, when kids are around.

Thank you for your review. We are happy to hear that you enjoyed the nature and surroundings, the private boat and view over the lake and such. The house itself: We agree the house needs a little more love and attention in the near future, and we are definitely working on this. As we have 53 cottages, there is always work to do ;)

Large camping and cottage rental place a a nice lage

If you are looking for a camp place or want to rent a small cottage directly by a lake this is a good spot. There is also a small shop, cafe and ice cream bar. They also have a separate building nearby for larger groups including 50 beds. There are a lot of nice tracks to walk around here.
