The perfect stop on my roadtrip! Can't get any better!!

Looked for a economical stop on my roadtrip towards Halmstad half way from Stockholm. What a pleasant surprise. An amazing room! Friendly owner and a home-baked pie awaited me. I felt at home.
Cozy surroundings and a great view from my room. Comfy bed. What else can you ask for??
I will be back!!
Recommended 10/10!!

Beautiful B&B in the countryside near Vadstena

We loved this B&B so much we’d move in, if they allowed us! The room (we had the room on the main floor) was simply, but beautifully decorated, with lovely plants on the window sills. The beds were very comfortable, and the bathroom was modern and a good size. When we arrived, our hostess was just putting out home-baked bread for our breakfast! There was a very nice selection of meets, cheeses, breads, eggs, and jams for our breakfast. And when we woke up (we had arrived at night,) we saw the beautiful farmland all around us. And our host even recommended a scenic route to take, after we left the historic sights nearby. We highly recommend this lovely B&B.

B & B & B & B

B&B??? No No No…..
Bjalbo Gasthus was near a small town and not far from Motala. The GPS leaded us to there. I wasn’t very optimistic of the place. Because the chickens were running around on the road & sheep were in the farmyard then no one in the house waiting for us. But a man came to us. We introduced to each other then he showed us our room.
The first sound I made was “OMG”. It was beautiful decorated and big and clean. The window looked out with a lot of Green farmland. It was very quite and peaceful.
In the evening, the owner “Kristin” came and introduced herself and showed us the house. She also mentioned to us, we can eat anything & anytime you want in the kitchen. It was not just for breakfast. Yet, there were a lot of foods, cookie / chocolate / fruit ......... (too many to list them all).
The house is small. It only had 4 rooms. But it was very cozy. Kristin was very helpful and friendly. She also showed us the areas. There is a very famous lake for Bird Watching.
On our last day stayed, Kristin came to clean the house. We had conversation about the breakfast. She told us that eggs were from the chickens we saw on the road. The breads and Swedish cake she baked almost everyday. Apples were from her garden.
She also said to us that there would be another bread ready tonight for tomorrow breakfast.
In the evening we were cooking dinner. Kristin bought 2 loafs of sourdough bread. It was so fresh and still warm. She told us to feel free to have for dinner. Therefore we changed our plan to have bread and eggs for dinner.
It was the most amazing and best sourdough I ever had so far in my last 3 months travelling.
Bjalbo Gasthus wasn’t just a B&B.

Kiva paikka ❤️

Paikka oli erittäin siisti ja viehättävä. Lapselle oli leluja ja syöttötuoli. Muutenkin lasten kanssa yöpyminen oli helppoa. Yhteiset tilat olivat kodikkaat. Omistaja oli leiponut omenapiirakkaa meidän saapuessa ❤️ Helppo löytää ja riittävästi parkkitilaa.

Mysigt, familjärt och barnvänligt

Mycket trevligt och familjevänligt boende på landet! Vid ankomst blev vi varmt mottagna av ägaren, som senare också bjöd på rabarberpaj. Familjerummet vi bodde i består av två rum med en dubbelsäng i vardera, vilket var perfekt för oss med en tvååring och en bebis. I huset finns ett standardutrustad kök (där även leksaker finns) och runtom köket var rummen belägna. Utomhus finns en stor trädgård med gräsmatta samt möjlighet att äta utomhus under tak. Genomgående mycket välstädat och fint boende. Rekommenderas varmt!
