The room was a nice size and so was the bathroom
It did have an elevator but you had to go up a flight of stairs to your room. We just went up one floor to make it easier to come down with heavy luggage

We'd love to be back soon
Location was perfect for us. A very short walk down to the Rhine for a swim, public transport in all directions 1m walk away, bakery and restaurants as well as supermarkets close by...location, location, location!
Value for money was excellent due to bottomless coffee and Kipfeli in the morning, room cleanliness and the welcoming receptionist (Chris). We'd stay here again at the drop of a hat! Thank you to all who contributed to our stay being so pleasent.

Zero Flexibility, Zero Goodwill
I don’t usually leave reviews, but this situation honestly left a very bad impression.
I made a reservation and realized about 10 minutes later that I had selected the wrong month by mistake. I contacted the hotel almost immediately to explain and ask if the dates could be corrected.
I understand that I chose a non-refundable rate. I’m not denying that. But the mistake was reported within minutes — not days or weeks later — and it’s hard to believe the hotel suffered any actual loss in that short time.
The only solution offered was a CHF 50 processing fee plus a price difference, which makes the total adjustment close to the cost of simply booking another hotel. That doesn’t feel reasonable given the circumstances.
Policies are important, of course. But flexibility and goodwill matter too, especially when a guest reaches out right away in good faith.
Because of this experience, I’ve decided to book elsewhere. It’s disappointing, as a small amount of flexibility would have made all the difference.

Great restaurant with unique atmosphere and fine food
We were in this restaurant a year ago and were warmly welcomed again this time. Although the restaurant was full, we were served friendly and prompt. We ordered pizza and tagliatelle – just wonderful. The tiramisu and panna cotta were a worthy conclusion. Conclusion: Everyone should visit this restaurant because the unique atmosphere, the excellent food and the great service make it special.

Excellent base for Alsace
Comfortable hotel. Friendly staff ready to give information also in Italian. At check in you will be provided with the card to use public transport for free. Tram stop to the center within walking distance. Parking in adjacent bie is located but for a fee.
Room not geande but comfortable. Breakfast not included but are still left free of delicious fruit croissants and the machine to make cap coffee tea.
