Amazing view. Hotel is between the mountains loved it. It’s far but worth to go there also price were reasonable compare the other hotels at the region

Mixed feelings

Positive points:
Clean rooms, comfortable beds, with nice mattresses and feather duvets, beautiful view, nice balconies on main building with nice jacuzzis, breakfast reasonable with good variety of choice.
Negative points:
Unwelcoming & empty reception, complicated and long process to check-in using bar code and online check-in service, staff mostly inaccessible, breakfast hours too short and inflexible (7am-9:15am), property is unloved, uncared for and somewhat neglected , our bathroom old and unloved.
Barrier between balconies missing on one side so less intimacy.
Despite all the negative points, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and hope that one day the owners of the hotel will start to enjoy taking care of the hotel, the staff and the guests, and that there will be no need for a book of penalties because a general spirit of generosity will be in the air and taking a bit of breakfast for later will not be a problem.

Fakehotel

A historic hotel from the Belle Époque that is completely tasteless and shows no regard for the era; it does not deserve the name historic hotel, as it has been ruined with pseudo kitsch from the Orient, which is inappropriate in the Bernese Oberland. Neglected entrance area,
Cumbersome check-in. At least it was clean.

Boring

Bad service. Couldn't get breakfast before 7:00. The door was locked and it was clear. No refrigerator in the room. Poor mattresses cow mark springs. A hotel that needs a loving hand.

Unsatisfactory

I cannot provide an assessment of Hotel Bären, they surely only have bookings - emails.
That is what I wanted to write.
Dear Sir or Madam,
Unfortunately, I was not entirely satisfied with my stay at Hotel Bären. I would like to share my impressions with you:
There was no personal greeting at the reception, which I found very disappointing.
The room was only minimally equipped.
A drinking glass was unfortunately also missing.
The cleanliness could have been better.
There was no offer for dinner.
The breakfast buffet was rather small and the selection limited.
However, I would like to highlight the pleasant tranquility that I greatly enjoyed during my stay.
I hope that my feedback is helpful and contributes to improvements in the future.
