A jewel on the road to the Bear Steps

A magnificent hotel in the heart of Crans Montana. The places are spacious, comfortable , the design is in harmony with the surrounding landscape .Here everything is designed and studied to make you feel good. Beautiful pool , fireplace , superb restaurants on site.
As for the team that manages the premises, it is difficult to find the best qualifier to express their perfection: friendly, efficient, always ready to advise, guide. Outstanding professionals well-trained in their mission.
In summary, a hotel of high standard but which knows how to remain human and family dimension, which embellishes the stay!

Summer escape with a view and excellent pool

We spent two nights in Crans Montana in this Hotel to play golf and to escape the heat. The biggest assets of this premise is the fantastic view and the large outdoor pool with plenty of space around it to relax, almost like beach feeling with the pool bar beside. We used the small gym located in the spa area, equipped with mainly cardio equipment, supplemented with weights. Hotel offers also guided yoga classes at least two times a week on the terrace behind the pool area. Room was clean and the balcony had breathtaking view. The rooms don't have air conditioning, but leaving the balcony door open at night you had enough cooling. Breakfast was OK, service response and staff friendliness is excellent. The village center is about 10min walking distance, no need to take the car. Comparing to other hotel experiences we had in the four star range I think the pricing is elevated. Nevertheless, we had a great time.

Nice setting but cocktails did not meet expectations.

We were not hotel guests but just wanted to have a drink by the beautiful pool.
The setting is great, beautiful terrace by the pool. One feels like being on vacation. The cocktail menu prolongs our dream, the price a little less so (24 CHF on average per cocktail). And what a huge disappointment when the cocktails finally arrived... They are served in very basic glasses, with no garnish, and no care in the presentation of the cocktails. They were good, but nothing more. We quickly woke up from our dream...
It's a shame, because there is really potential to do better in such an environment.

Very pleasant stay

An absolutely perfect stay!
We had a wonderful stay at the Stirrup. The welcome was warm and professional from our arrival, and the staff was always attentive to our needs. The room was spacious, very clean and tastefully decorated, offering excellent comfort.
Breakfast was varied and of high quality, with fresh and delicious products. The location of the hotel is ideal, close to cable cars.
We highly recommend this property and will come back with great pleasure!

Superb Alpine Hotel

Wonderful rustic Alpine hotel with a great view. It is everything you want from a stay in the mountains. Arriving at Hotel De L’Etrier it is picture perfect, and after entering the stone floored lobby the view hits you through the lovely Lounge and bar area which also has an enormous fireplace. Rooms are very clean, in a traditional style, spacious, some with balconies and views. Very comfortable beds and modern bathrooms. The staff are really helpful and friendly - particular mention for Chiara who checked us in and was informative and absolutely charming. A wonderful welcome! There is a superb indoor/outdoor pool gym and spa area too. It is everything you could possibly want - either as a place to return to after a hard days skiing- that fire is beckoning - or as a beautiful base in the summer from which to explore the hiking trails and the local town. Not to be missed!
