Centrally Located, Modern with Old Touces, Nice Room

The Khan Hotel is centrally located, nearest MRT is City Council.
Check in Standard at 3pm. So we left our bags at the hotel and went out to check the City.
Went back at 3pm, room ready. We were given a room at the Executive Floor (Travellers and Family floor are the other floors).
Room was of good size. Fully carpeted, Cable LCD TV, Tea / Coffee with Kettle. 2 Double Beds, bed was comfortable.
Bathroom was big. Toilet had no bidet though.
Overall: It was a good stay at Khan. Centrally Located and Nice Rooms. Staff were okay.

I stayed here many years ago with impressive impressions, but my view has changed now as I realized its deteriorated service quality. The hotel is not providing disposable slippers and no amenities supply will be provided if you don't place a request to clean your room ! I also disappointed with the shower room that has no door or curtain ! The hotel will not station a staff on duty after 9pm. This may cause problem if checking in after 9pm, as only machine check-in is available after 9pm. This may cause concern for security reasons, although entry to the main door will be available to hotel guests using room card.

The location is good, not too far from Liuhe Night Market. The little brother at the front desk at around 9:00 p.m. Plates are basically negligible. The only special suggestion is: I dare not use the kettle in the hotel room because the baby needs to make milk, and there is no water dispenser in the lobby on the first floor, so I need to go to the basement to pick it up, but the stairs are very steep, so I lead the baby. I am frightened, I hope that the water dispenser equipment can be added on the first floor, so that it is more friendly to the elderly with handicapped legs! overall is satisfied!

The soundproof is very bad

The hotel is clean and its location is good. Price is cheap. Our room is 201 facing the intersection. We can hear the traffic noise ALL THE TIME. In the early morning, we can hear that the people were arguing on the walkway of that floor. That was the worst experience of hotel we had in Kaohsiung. I highly recommend that this room should become a tool room or for staff only. It should not be a room for travelers.

Ok value for money, some aspects could be improved though

I spent here one night on a business trip. Very affordable ($40/night), centrally located, there’s also a rather famous night market 7mins walking distance. Room was kind of basic but good size. The major downside was the quite strong sewage smell in the bathroom. Not sure it’s the hotel responsibility or maybe Kaohsiung’s municipality, however it should be addressed somehow. Other than that, overall a good value for money hotel.
