Large parking space, convenient for check-in
I left a good impression on my stay at Discovery Hotel Taichung. First of all, what makes me most happy is that the parking space of the hotel is very spacious, which is a big advantage for self-driving travelers. Convenient parking makes the check-in process easier and more enjoyable, without having to worry about a parking space.
The design style of the hotel is simple and modern, giving people a comfortable feeling. It is worth mentioning that the choice of toiletries shows the hotel's emphasis on environmental protection, which is a gratifying highlight. Here, I felt the hotel's dedication to providing a high-quality accommodation experience.
In addition, the hotel has an excellent location, very close to Fengjia University. This is certainly a big plus for tourists planning to visit this well-known attraction. Moreover, if you plan to visit the surrounding attractions by car, you will also feel the convenience, because the nearby attractions are within an acceptable driving distance.
Although the hotel itself does not provide breakfast service, I found the "Weike Brunch" restaurant, which is only a 2-minute walk away, to be a good alternative. There, I enjoyed a delicious and hearty breakfast, which infused me with energy for the day.
Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay at Discovery Hotel Taichung. Excellent parking facilities, simple and modern design, environmentally friendly toiletries and convenient location all make this trip more perfect. I would recommend this hotel to other travelers without hesitation and look forward to staying again in the future.

Hotel near Fengjia yet on quiet corner
Location
It costs us NT$370 and +/- 30min taxi ride from Taichung HSR Stn. Conveniently located 5-10min walk to Fengjia Night market, close by yet not noisy. There're convenient stores and small restaurants nearby if you're too lazy to walk to the night market.
Rooms
Appreciate the upgrade from 2x Std Double rooms to 2x Std Quadruple rooms. However, the rooms weren't spacious enough to leave a 28-30" luggage open. There's no enclosed wardrobe, but an area with a hanging bar to hold your clothes. Basin area is spacious and well stocked with toiletries, but would be great if there's a full length mirror. Shower & toilet area is clean. Ample international sockets to charge your devices. Wifi strength was a bit weak, so, can be frustrating if you're searching online or streaming.
Overall staff were friendly and helpful.
Transportation
We hired a driver for our day sightseeing. To move around, we book rides via Uber or you can ask the Front Desk to call a cab for you.
Overall we're happy with our stay and will recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to Taichung and want to stay near Fengjia Night market.

This hotel may be for couples to have fun. For me, a business traveler, it is simply rubbish. First of all, some rooms do not have a desk for Shuzhuo Happiness. Why do I need a desk? After I protested, I gave me a room with a desk, but for me It is a desk facing the wall but not the window. Again, this hotel is next to a large substation, is it not suitable for people to live within a few miles? The toilet paper I use again is thick and rotten low-grade paper, which is really bad! The breakfast the next day was too simple. I won't stay in this hotel again, nor recommend it, the owner kneels down and begs me not to! This allows me to experience what it means to be golden and jade in it!

Impeccable Hidden Loft Penthouse!!!
Spotlights:
* You own the whole rooftop Loft Penthouse during the stay!
* Huge Bathtub in Huge Bathroom; TOTO Washlet
* 55inch TV w/ abundant HD Movies
* Among Fengchia (逢甲) Commercial Area & Night Market
* Shopping & Gourmets just steps away
* Nice View Overlooking Taichung City
* Friendly, Kind & Helpful Staff
Pity:
"The Sky Suite" Penthouse isn't bookable, it's thru lucky straw if you book a Loft Family Room. Too dreamy to believe if you have the luck to stay there.
